I've made steady progress in clearning my DVR cache.  It's amazing how many movies one can transfer to DVD if one puts one's mind to it...and occupies oneself doing other things rather than sitting and watching the films while they are recording.

Yesterday and today (before I went to rehearsal...tomorrow, we move into the theater!), I was watching episodes of "Greys' Anatomy" and "Private Practice" while taping them (onto VHS) for my friend, Margo.  She doesn't have cable, and since I have to record these because I'm in rehearsal, it's very easy to watch and tape at the same time.  I have one "Private Practice" episode left, then I'm all caught up with those two shows.  After that, I'll start on watching and taping "Big Shots."  I have six episodes of that to get through. :)

I got home and realized I did not have my cell phone. It was nowhere to be found.  I called Mom and she found it out in their driveway. She offered to send it, but I told her I can live without it until Thursday.

:o I couldn't wait.  My cell phone is my only phone.

They offered to send it, but I wouldn't get it until at least Tuesday, at that point I may as well wait a couple more days. I still have a land line at home and at work

I just finished watching a grand piece of movie entertainment entitled GRAND PRIX, directed by John Frankenheimer.  Not much on plot, great cast, terrific Maurice Jarre score, but it's those racing sequences that really rock!

Anybody have any favorite "car" movies?

Herbie, the Love Bug!

Looks like it was the producers who walked out. http://www.broadwayworld.com/viewcolumn.cfm?colid=22912

The stories about who walked out are coming strictly from Local One.  Maybe the producers did walk out, but we haven't heard anything from their side about that, other than it is clearly stated in one of the press reports that the first people out of the building were not the League, but Local One.

I am listening to a rather sublime new CD - Toots Thielmans - the great Toots - playing Harold Arlen songs with a host of different singers and solists, all gorgeously accompanied by a big orchestra.

Thielmans, who must be in his 80s, is incredible.

I enjoy this show.  And it's nice to finally be able to take some time to watch some TV that I've been recording and saving during all the rehearsing for the show.

Our rehearsal tonight was good.  We sang through our new finale...we only got it and started working on it last week.

Then we sang through a couple of group numbers a couple of times, then we got to go home. :)

Tomorrow, we'll finally be in the space where we'll be performing.  It's where TAO performed The Taming of the Shrew and Cannibal! The Musical! that I was in.

I'm taping "Big Shots" and I just watched a segment, but I forgot to hit the pause button on my VCR to start it recording again (I'm cutting out the commercials since I'm actually watching it), so it didn't tape it. :P  Now I have to watch this whole section again.  Dopey me. ;)

I took one quarter of Spanish in college.  All I can remember is "yo tengo hambre" (literaly, "I have hunger," but translated as "I'm hungry") but for quite a while, I didn't remeber it correctly and would say "yo tengo hombre." ;)
