It's turned cold here, too. I pulled out my heavy sweaters, scarf, and gloves.

Off to lunch with the grantwriters and then to do holiday errands.  I'm hoping to get home before the predicted snow arrives.

Bye for now!

re: the question about SOAP OPERAS and what is currently on the air.

They are currently still airing new shows, (i believe ones that were already written).

I think they will stay on the air and use whoever is still there and working to write the shows.

I would be curious if anyone knew if they were going to use scab writers or have people like the exec producers write.

I really didn't want to get up this morning, but, alas and alack, I had to.  I have to be completely ready to go after the work session.

Is this a polite way of saying you hope they survive the day?

Ron-Funny reindeer card!

I liked it 'cause it was "in your face", in a manner of speaking.  I can feel that cool, wet snout every time I see the card.

Guess that's enough of a mini-frenzy to keep MR. P happy for a while. This gratuitous post is for you, Ronald!

Accepted with all the gratuitousness I can muster.

I lilked this finale!  I loved the scenes in the vault with hiro and peter and nathan.

I even thought niki was interesting!  And good cliff-hanger for her!  And for nathan! OMG! I was not expecting that at all. Awesome! And his mom!!!  Really enjoyed it.

ASSOCIATED PRESS

Quote
LEWISVILLE, Texas —  Lewisville police had to hop to it to catch a kangaroo who fled from a veterinarian's yard.

"Maynard" the red kangaroo is back at an animal hospital after a frolicking chase that was videotaped by a patrol car's camera.

Police joined animal control officers Sunday after getting a call about a kangaroo dashing around a neighborhood.

Their footage shows Maynard bouncing around while people chase the the 18-month-old, 3-foot-tall kangaroo.

Dr. Kyle Jones took Maynard home for the weekend so the animal could graze and run in the vet's back yard. A wooden gate blew open and Maynard got out.
The animal eventually will be placed with a zoo.

Maynard’s owner is looking for a new home for the exotic animal. Obviously, Maynard needs a little room to roam, and a good tall fence to keep him safe.

Well...it seems to me Maynard has no "bounce" VISA and should be deported!

(I'm sure TomOvOz will agree that Maynard belongs back in the bush!)

Barack Obama as Albert; Hilary Clinton as Rosie; Don Imus as Conrad Birdie, and Dick Cheney as Paul Lynde; This would have to be filmed, as I dont think the parties involved could do a six month run in NYC(Side news-It was nice to read in Playbill that David Hyde Pierce has signed with CURTAINS till the end of August. Maybe if I'm frugal I can squeeze out an end of summer NYC trip.

Then there is Smash/Bash! surgery!

Thank you td, MBarnum, Edi, FJL Cilla, JMK (;D), JRand, Singdaw, Ginny, Danise, Jeanne, and Jennifer.

This was one smart, affectionate Sugar Glider and he should have lived another 7 or 8 years.  What happened will always be a mystery.  I expect Bryan is still in shock with the suddenness of this, he takes such good care of his Gliders.

DR MATT H-

THE HAPPY TIME is a delightful movie-Charming and engaging with a wonderful score by Dimitri Tiomkin and a very excellent Kurt Kasznar repeating his Broadway role.Add to that mix-Bobby Driscoll(suprisingly good)A young Linda Christian,Charles Boyer,Louis Jourdan,Marcel Dalio. It amost makes the thought of Winter disappear . It's really a Springlike Movie.

Thanks for making it happen

Either she is still bruised from surgery, or that photo has been touched up in an unflattering way.
