DR Elmore - I hope your sore throat does not materialize into something more serious.  Take care...

We had an evening of technical difficulties last night at Cinderella.  Someone had screwed with the board and the levels for the pre-record were horrible until about halfway through the first act.

Embrace the experience; it will prepare you for your first NYMF production.

And now it's time for Uncle Jojo to possibly go ice-skating - more like ice-stumbling - in Bryant Park.  -Although, I'll just opt to stay outside the rink and take pictures.  :)

Yes, you must protect those Roman hands--do not fall on the ice!

I called the store that embarrassed me my sending my gift unwrapped.  It turns out they didn't forget to wrap it, the box was too big to wrap & then ship.  They just neglected to call me and inquire what I wanted done.

They probably did me a favor, sometimes ignorance is bliss.  The package was shipped to the hostess of the baby shower and has been wrapped hassle free on my part.

Now all I need is for the pass to California to be clear in January so I can watch the mother to be open the gift.

Those are the stories I heard.  She was rather controlling & it was difficult for DK to cope with, or to stand up to her.

I also know the little girl who played his daughter in 5 LITTLE PENNIES absolutely adored him.

Gee, who would that be?

The Court Jester
Knock On Wood
White Christmas
Hans Christian Anderson

I would like to see Me & The Colonel. (still not on DVD)

Elusive Butterfly.
Bob Lind is still recording and does have his own web site.
I believe that there has been (at long last) a reissue of his his tracks recorded in the late sixties.

I am trying to decide whether or not I should go to a matinee of MEET ME IN ST LOUIS this afternoon.  The last two days I have had a terrible tickle in my throat, and when it starts I cough and cough.  And this morning, when I woke up I had a horrible sore throat.

"The Elusive Butterfly of Love"... Hmmm... Wasn't that featured in an episode of "L.A. Law"?

;)

Actually, it was called the "Venus Butterfly." ;)

I did something really dumb and made mounds of mulch before I left for LA, despite the fact that I'm allergic to leaf mold and there were wet leaves and I was in too big of a hurry to track down my mask.

So the whole time in LA my sinuses and lungs were burning. Then to make matters worse, I went hiking up and down the steep Hollywood Hills, breathing very heavily and making things worse.

By the time I got home, I was really having trouble breathing but then I was able to take some stuff I had from my last sinus cold thingy. (I seem to get them once or twice a year...)

Ever since then, it's been going from my lungs, up to my head, back to my lungs, etc. Very annoying, and I turned down two party invites and probably another tonight, just in case it is something contagious.

But at least it's not bad enough to keep me from doing holiday prep work.

And it's raining here. Hooray!

I woke up with a bit of a sore throat, too. :-\ We only have two Nite of the Living Dead! The Musical! performances left!  As long as I can say my lines, I'm not too concerned about getting sick.  And I have a ton of sick leave, so I can use it for work.

My biggest concern about going to ST LOUIS (the musical, not the city) is that beside the elderly crowd who may be exposed to my cold; two of my friends who are in the show are making their Carnegie Hall debuts next Sunday, and I would hate to expose them to anything unseemly.

Otherwise, last night's show went quite well. :D One of the leads, Lauren, is one of the house managers at the local performing arts center, where I usher a lot.  Last night, about 12 or so other ushers came to see us in the show!  It was great!  They were all a great audience and most stayed after to see us.  A good time was had by all.

Somethin' must be going around HHW, because I've suspected all day that I'm coming down with something.  Might also be the "family cold" that Rob and my mom have had all week.  Whatever it is, wouldn't it be a shame if I had to stay home from work a couple of days next week?

Are any of the New York area posters going to Carnegie Hall next Sunday to see MARK FORREST, THE IRISH TENOR AND FRIENDS in Zankel Hall?

There are about 25 people here right now; the party, I hazard to say, is a success!
Mum didn't know a single thing until my cousin and I started to put out the food at about  a quarter to two; at that point, we kinda had to tell her.
I will pass out all the DRs birthday wishes to her on Tuesday, which is her actual b'day.
Naturally, there will be pictures, oh yes, there will be pictures.
To quote my favorite cousin, "This is great.  Your mum doesn't need anything BUT the companionship."
