THE DAY OF THE DO
« on: December 24, 2007, 12:18:14 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were Bb and G, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're having a Christmas Eve Moo, and can't be bothered now.

Otherwise, I shall be overtired tomorrow, or I'll oversleep, and I cannot do such a thing.

This is kind of fun: Shopdropping

Quote
This is the season of frenetic shopping, but for a devious few people it’s also the season of spirited shopdropping.

Otherwise known as reverse shoplifting, shopdropping involves surreptitiously putting things in stores, rather than illegally taking them out, and the motivations vary.

DearReaderLaura DR - fun picture yesterday.  We also had our pageant.  They used a live infant for the baby Jesus!

DR JoseSPiano - lovely family stories.

Like DR elmore3003, I took a tape recorder to my grandmother's place some years back and have a wonderful, irreplaceable treasure there.

Well, some DR [was it Laura?] had requested postings today of Christmas light displays.  I am now finding that most of the shots I look in my local neighborhood while walking Zach are pretty blurry, but perhaps during the day I'll post a few.

It's cold and clear, and the threat of thunderstorms later in the day looms over Johnston SC.

I definitely have "the sniffles" this morning.

Nothing much more advanced than that.  But I am "sniffling" and minding my p's and q's.

Good morning, Ron.  And Merry Chrismas Eve.

I had trouble getting to today's notes.  I had to go thru Column Archives to read them.

I am sitting here, sipping coffee, trying to motivate myself to go to work.  My junkie kitty, Angel, is sitting in the kitchen staring at the cupboard where the freeze-dried salmon is stored.  Every few minutes she will moan in hopes that I will notice her waiting there.

I have a few pix of Christmas lights, but photobucket's resizing doesn't seem to "take" for me on them.  They still "post" at full size, even though the "bucket" says they're smaller.

Oh, well!

Good morning, all! Apart from work this morning on "The Lady of the Slipper." I'm having a holiday and enjoying myself.  I have a couple of things to wrap, and I have a ticket to see SWEENEY TODD again this evening.

I've been reading the Brian Kellow bio of Ethel Merman, and last night I was reading the section on HAPPY HUNTING, so I'm listening to the OBC recording.  What a dog! Poor Ethel!

So sorry you did not enjoy CASINO ROYALE, DR MBARNUM.  I liked it and thought Mr Craig was a fine James Bond although my favorites are Mr Sean Connery and Mr George Lazenby.
