I was most interested in BK's assessment of "Sweeney Todd".  He seems to have hit on some of the same pros and cons that I've heard from other quarters, although there have been some outright raves by some people who probably don't know what potential might have been overlooked.

As I said, it's a mite CHILLY this morning and here I sit in my day-after-my-birthday-suit (i.e., I'm "dressed" but only "just").  Time for some "swaddling", I suspect.

Oooh! Ooh!
I just realized why it's so cold in here.

I opened the window last night when things were a tad warmer and still.  And I forgot about it.

Until just a moment again when a huge rush of air rattled the blinds.

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r!

That was a good game last night.... I was nervous for a bit and thought the PATS were going to lose.

Perhaps...perhaps...perhaps.

I shall simply overlook it...and be done.

Actually, the Follies reference is "It would pass," but that didn't seem like an appropriate answer.

Thank you, Fred, for the reassurances (and reaffirmation, as it were).

I think it is time for some coffee.

Oh, yeah!  Some coffee...and maybe a chocolatine or morning bun...or two.

Yes...that's the ticket.

Ummmmmm.

A little end-of-year excitement here in our household:  Skip's show HERRINGBONE, which was at Williamstown Theatre Festival in June, starring B.D. Wong and directed by Roger Rees, made the Boston Globe BEST OF 2007 list.

Good morning, all! I slept really well for the first time in days and I also slept really late.  I have few plans today: a bit of Toyland work here, some estate work, perhaps laundry and some tidying up.

DR Ron Pulliam, I don't believe that's from Nurse Jane, so be careful.  If nothing looks familiar in the email heading I just delete it and face the consequences later.

DR FJL, kudos to Skip!  That was 3 pm on Jan 1?
