...And then this month's Vanities Dare feature was the Department-Store-Santa Dare:

That number 3 one...for a five-pointer....is that confession of impure thoughts ABOUT someone within earshot?  Or is it a confession of impure thoughts that can be heard by someone within earshot?

It is 9:29 p.m. and I am gearing up for bed.

I'm tired.

"Pwoject Wunway" will have to get comfy in my DVR cache, next to the Jerry Herman special from last night.

Hello, Jose!

Brrrr....it's so cold here in Atlanta and it's late, too, but I wanted to check in and at least catch up to yesterday's posts.

I'm working at a new place starting today, and when I wqent there, I found that it was in a complex of buildings. There was not a single sign with their name, anywhere. Not even on their door! What kind of way is that to do business?

They had called an "orientation" meeting for today. I showed up on time, despite the difficulty of finding the place, and there was no meeting and the editing room wasn't even put together yet. (They were getting in the system I like to use so I would agree to work there.) The place seems to be too "cool" for its own good, and apparently they are too busy being cool to clean the place or do much besides playing "Guitar Hero".

In watching the Times Square new years coverage, I thought it was neat that the confetti at midnight consisted of wishes that people had written on slips of paper at the visitor's center. It made me wonder if people picked them up off the ground to read them or perhaps keep them as souveniers. That would be a good way to help clean up the aftermath!

I got the schedule for this job, too, and they have booked me for every day for the next 2 & 1/2 weeks. They didn't tell me I would be working weekends, too. That's pretty unusual to just assume that. But I'm glad to have the work, and it looks like it will be busy into January.

Finished viewing a real authentic four-star film - the fact that it was made in the last two years makes that an astonishing feat, but naturally it was not an American film.  I'll have much to say in the notes.

Oh, could I tell you tales about "no name on the door" establishments (from the 50-60s)!

Or was it a secret tapping of the foot?

Today is Van Dyke Parks' birthday, here on the east coast. And in 2 hours, on the west coast, too!

VDP will be 65, but if there's ever anyone not ready to retire at 65, it would be him. He's like the Energizer Bunny of pop music!

I suspect that with Ashcroft gone, the Atlanta porn mature-viewer film inductry is booming.

The only thing pornographic going on here is Tyler Perry's House of Payne.

Oh, OK. It's not pornographic, just in bad taste.

I can say this because I did not sign the paper saying that I would not make any disparaging remarks about Tyler Perry or his whole family.

My DH, however, cannot say the same, as he DID sign the paper!

It's a "special" look that gained entry.

Linus Roche... Jeremy Sisto

Both of whom were in 2006's Series "Kidnapped", which UniversalHD is about to rerun.

UnicersalHD will also start re-runs of Six Feet Under on Monday.
