I think all of us are now thinking about doughnuts!

I don't feel like eating any now, the one good thing about how I feel.

Thanks for the good wishes.  I just need to be well by Saturday.

The fact is, my lunch salad was not filling at all, so I'll probably have to venture out one more time, but not until after 8:00

Some youngster soundtrack people are very upset that Jonny Greenwood's horrid score for There Will Be Blood was deemed ineligible for an Oscar at the last minute.  Why?  Because it turns out that his "original" score isn't so original and the majority of it was from some piece he wrote for the BBC - add to that all the Arvo Part and Brahms and I don't blame the Academy one bit.  Babel was a similar case, but I think they got all that info too late.

There will be more of those "back in time" shows.  I think you will enjoy the others more than this one.

Since Keith didn't watch the show I usually watched it while using the treadmill.   The treadmill broke about the same time the show went off the air.

I'll look forward to them because as I said, it did give a different slant to the show, and I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying these episodes. The characters have excellent chemistry with each other, and the unit works so well together, even when they're facing off against each other in court.

I watched most of the new show MOMENT OF TRUTH (the one on fox after AMERICAN IDOL).

The idea of it is okay (they ask one person at a time tricky questions and they must tell the truth). They had to answer 50 questions under a lie detector and 21 are chosen for this game. They are allowed to change their answer (from what they gave on the lie detector) as long as it is true.

The next part is a sort of spoiler, so in case anybody is going to watch it.

The questions were tough. ANd the first guy's wife was there. It was only yes or no.  So in some respects it's not that easy to answer.

But the thing that bugged me (and turned me off the show) is the question this guy lost on.  It was a question that i believe he thought he answered truthfully. But they said he had lied.

Now to me the show should be about things that have answers that people know. I.E., have you had sex with someone else since you've been married. Either you have or you haven't. But i don't think that someone should think they are answering something truthfully and then have the machine tell them they lied.

In this case the guy was a personal trainer. And they asked him if he'd ever touched a woman for longer than required while he was on the job.

Now i don't even think anyone would have cared if he had said he had. Since he had admitted to other not so nice things.

But it left me with a bad taste for the show. I mean i really think the guy would have said yes if he thought he had done it.

The host asked him about the question after, and the guy said that you have to touch the clients and sometimes it is hard to define how much touching is truly required.

I watched five episodes of JAG tonight, and I got halfway through a sixth episode.

One of them did borrow quite heavily from WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION (another this afternoon resembled A FEW GOOD MEN), but for the most part, they're really fine, very engaging shows.

And they often have nothing to do with a courtroom trial. In one episode I saw tonight, Harm was trapped in the brig of a ship with water pouring in a chloride gas in the hatch so they were trapped on both sides. Really held my interest, and when he was saved by his admiral, I had tears in my eyes.

The episode I only got partially through was a suspected gay-bashing episode (it wasn't), and opened eyes to some potential gay characters in the JAG Corps. Good for them!

LAW & ORDER had a really fascinating case on tonight that concerned the deaths of a white teenage boy and a young black girl who lived in the same neighborhood. Excellent performances, love the new cast, and a really intriguing jury verdict.

Oh, Joy, indeed, DR Kerry!  And I hope that Sugar gives both of you wet, sloppy kisses, and vice versa.

???  I think you get my drift.

Sugar did give me wet sloppy kisses.  She loves to lick the top of my head (both when I had hair and now).

So, I am on episode 17 of JAG (there are 25 episodes), but I doubt I finish tomorrow. There will be TV tomorrow night I'll be watching so I'll only have part of the afternoon and early evening to watch JAG tomorrow. Probably won't finish up with it until Friday.

From the looks of the packaging, there is only an outtakes reel as a bonus feature.

- and because whoever designed the streets of the San Fernando Valley was a complete and utter moron, said streets are already flooded.

That "moron" engineer designed streets for a Valley that was mainly dirt - "moron" planning departments allowed greedy developers to pave over vast areas that used to absorb the rainfall; so now the "moron" voters can suffer with the streets-turned-storm sewers. Given the choice of occasional flooded streets as opposed to a multi-billion dollar bond issue to build a new valley drainage system, I think the voters will opt for flooded streets.
