It was a pleasure watching HAWAII FIVE-O last week. The last episode in the set was the last episode of the season, but no different from any other last episode: no cliffhangers, no artificial drama. It concluded a two part episode, and that was that.

I LONG for those old days. The cliffhanger stuff is, in most cases, so unnecessary to get me to tune in again next season.

When Mr. Rogers ended his show, he did the same thing...just a regular episode, nothing special, no acknowledgement of it being the last show...mainly since it's in perpetual repeats and little kids might not understand a "last episode" but then see regular episode the next day.

Thursday morning greetings!  We had a light dusting of snow overnight, but not enough to cause any driving problems.  Today is payday and, this afternoon, the January edition of Grantseeking Basics.

Medical procedure vibes to DR Singdaw!

Ginny, I could have sworn that you wrote that the light dusting of snow was not enough to cause any drinking problems.  Hmm!

I forgot another one and this film is not what you call stellar but it is fun cheese!

Young Doctors in Love!

It had a lot of soap stars in it

Some of the people in it included Jackie Zeman, Sean Young, Dabny Coleman, Ted McGinley, Crystal Benard, Michael, McKean. Ed Begley Jr and many stars of the time from many of the soaps especially General Hospital

Another show that had some stellar power was Soapdish but not on the same level as some of hte ones mentioned today

Dinner tonight consisted of roasted fennel, carrots and brussel sprouts (those crisp, crunchy leaves are the best!), some jasmine rice, and a tuna steak.  Quite good, and quite tasty, and very easy to prepare.

Ron-- no problem.  I used t get a lot of people singing "Kerry" to the tune of  the 4 Seasons', "Sherry."  That wass actually more annoying.   :P

...And I still get "Jose, can you see...   :-X

I, too, have always loved MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS. I've read DEATH ON THE NILE, but don't recall ever seeing the adaptation. Must add that to my (lengthy) queue.

I have done the play MURDER ON THE NILE.  I played the character of Canon Ambrose Pennefather.  First, in the book and later in the film, that character was Hercule Poirot.

Young Doctors in Love was kind of a precursor for what some would do as the 1980s went on

It is raining. A little.

I was hoping that was the case since the rain stayed in L.A. & left us alone.

If one was to look back at some of hte past movies, an argument could also be made for Cool Hand Luke for a number of different actors who have had success since that movie.

Thanks to all of your dear DRs for your good wishes.  I endured my medical test, and the results were A+ positive!!  :)

The test was to find out your blood type???  And we were worried?

Quote
Mufti Salim Ahmad Qasmi, a Muslim cleric in India, issued the fatwa, saying the statue is illegal according to the Sharia, which forbids depictions of all living creatures,

Wouldn't that include appearing in films?
