BYE BYE BIRDIE
« on: February 05, 2008, 12:34:14 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes wanted to shout Sparkle, Notes, Sparkle, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they want to know why there isn't a musical comedy entitled Bye Bye Cow.

I like rice (don't "love" it), but I really don't like rice pudding. :P I think that I expect too much for it to be like tapioca pudding, and it's not...so I don't like it.  But I LOVE tapioca pudding. :D

Favorite rice dishes??  Spanish rice in general or I'll get steamed rice at Panda Express and pour either their Mandarin sauce or sweet-and-sour sauce all over it. ;)

I get LP's through the mail in Priority Boxes packed as MR BK was talking about, they usually have some heavy cardboard on both sides as well as bubble wrap or plastic around the cover.

It's not so nice.
I don't like rice.
Cooked or raw
Sticks in my craw.
I'll chew on ice.
Instead.

I voted this morning. There were no exit pollers at my voting location so I spoke to no one, not that I would anyway. If I did I would probably lie to them. I loathe exit polling and all the crap surrounding it. It's part of the instant gratification ethic that seems to have enveloped the country over the last 20 years. I won't watch any returns tonight. I'll ride the exercise bike and watch Jeopardy and reruns of old sitcoms and then I'll go tweak the 'puter some more until Anthony gets home from dance class.

It is supposed to get up to around 50 degrees today but it's wet and gloomy.

Tomorrow, if the predictions are correct, it may hit 60 degrees.

After that the winter weather begins to return. By the weekend it may be in the mid-30s. It is February after all.

And the word of the day is: SCISSION!
The members of my step-mother's quilting group all brought scraps of fabric ready to be cut into appropriate squares and triangles, and held a SCISSION session.

RICE?

OK-- White rice, brown rice, wild rice, rice pilaf, Basmati.  Rice ranks up there with potatoes!

Anthony is doing a reading of a new play for a friend on Saturday afternoon. He has rehearsal on Thursday evening so I may actually go and see Sweeney. I have yet to see it (or Enchanted) and a friend wants to take me for my birthday. Ant has no interest in seeing Sweeney so it's a chance for me to indulge and also catch up with my friend who has an audition in Philadelphia this afternoon for an infomercial for "a carbonated anti-oxidant drink"

Ant has a callback next week for North Shore Music Theatre for the dancing ensemble for Bye Bye Birdie. I guess all these years of dance class are beginning to pay off.

My "Check Engine" light came on again (which means anything from the gas cap wasn't sealed tightly to my car is going to blow up), so I have to take it to the delaership.  That means I get to sit there listening to CNN drone on and on and predicting winners and those ridiculous exit polls!

Good morning, all! I've got six loads of laundry going on and I need to vote so this will be short.

I'm finally cleaning out the last corner of the apartment that's been acting as the storage for all of my plastic-wrapped clothing and linens.  I've decided to order one more filing cabinet this week and that will be my apartment spending for this month.

My day wil primarily be made up of sorting, folding, and storing away the laundry.  Tonight, apres 4 pm, dinner with our DR Jose.  and margaritas.
