Our tree and decorations are still up but Anthony said he will begin taking everything down today.

I am so glad to hear I am not the only one.  The ornaments are off now but the tree still stands

Just popped back on for a second. A theater acquaintance called tonight to inquire about any available recording of CLUE - THE MUSICAL. Does anyone have it or know anything about it?

Thanks.

DR vixmom - I'm so sorry I'll miss you and the vixter this weekend.  I'm heading down to Memphis Thursday morning for my theatre conference, and won't be back until Monday evening.  I hope you and the vixter enjoy Rent.  -And, thankfully, from what I hear, since they've announced the closing, the cast and crew have stepped it up a bit.  Hopefully, those rumors are true.

We are back from "Sweeney Todd".
Yes it's a different animal from the stage production.

For me every choice was right - even the casting.

IMHO a far more completely satisfying film than the much lauded "Atonement".

At last a film musical that works. ("Chicago" came close)

Jack will give you his ticket (if Tomovoz isn't using it).

I had to decline the offer and take up an opportunity to see Patti LuPone.
(see rather than hear - it will be less painful).

I've avoided posts about "Sweeney" so the similarity may have been mentioned. I really liked Mr Depp's singing voice. He sounded as "London" as the young Anthony Newley!

And, now, since I have dance auditions in the morning - and since I really should have been in bed at least an hour ago...

Goodnight.

Every time they mention Republican candidate Ron Paul, I keep thinking they're talking about RuPaul.

Hey, it would make for a very interesting Inaugural Ball!

And I always picture actor Richard Paul!   :D

The rice, which will be augmented with some scallions, ginger, and a little mint...

And too damn much salt! (Too bad, the herbing was delish!)

I smothered it in butter which cut some of the saltiness.

I was asked by Wae-Ling if I voted for a boy or a girl.

Well, you're supoosed to put your "I Voted" pastie over your right xxx if you voted for a boy, and over your left xxx if you voted for a girl.

Mike Huckabee doesn't believe in evolution, so don't know what that means

It means if Huckabee is elected he will have Congress enact an End of Days Act and he will establish a Department of Rapture.

Speaking of Ron Paul, I kind of like the fellow. Didn't vote for him, but I considered it. His policies are just this side of Libertarian.

I guess so - he was the Libertarian Party's Presidential nominee in 1988!

Next, I watched last night's OLD CHRISTINE. The early scenes were kind of falling flat, but it picked up about ten minutes into the show and there were certainly some good laughs. Glad to have the show back.

I forgot to record it. :(
