DR Jeanne

We watched the first part (of six) of "UK series "The Street" (Timothy Spall , Jane Horrocks. Jim Broadbent et el) last night.

EXCELLENT.

Tom,
Glad you liked it. I may have to give it another try. Thanks for the feedback.

I got to spend very little time with my beautiful goddaughter Charlotte this visit, so I spent the last hour of her Manhattan trip with her and said goodbye to her when the car arrived to take her to the airport.

She's auditioning for summer theatre in three weeks, and here's one of her headshots taken this week.

Did you cry. :'(

The photo shows a young woman capable of playing a role with great depth and beauty.  Summer theatre vibes to DGD Charlotte!

I am happy to announce that the vibes must have worked...I'm started to get rid of this darned cough!  Without drugs!  :)

Continued feel-good vibes to Singdaw.

Singdaw, it would be a riot if that guy did join HHW.

I’m pleased to know you are feeling better.

I can hear a frog.  Keith said it is probably a tree frog.  At least the sound is coming from outside the house, and not inside.

I am finding Netflix Online movies a great way to watch episodes from TV series.  Usually if I put a series in my Q, by the time it shows up, I am no longer in the mood.

Today, I am watching episodes of Season 6 of MURDER SHE WROTE.  I just saw the first episode featuring Louis Herthum, who would eventually become a semi-regular as Deputy Andy Broom.  In this epsiode he is also playing a police officer - Deputy Kruger, and he is working for guest star Elliott Gould on th Palm Springs police force.

And no, DR Nursie, I didn't cry at Charlotte's departure, but I did get teary.

Her parents were off to see Barbara Cook's show at the Carlyle, so I was the person in charge of getting her to the car to the airport.  Charlotte's dad is singing in a London Jerry Herman concert with Ms Cook, Angela Lansbury, and God knows who else, so Ron and Dona were Barbara's guests tonight.

Good Evening!

I'm back from having dinner with a friend in The Village.  We ended up at some Thai place which usually has decent food and decent service, but tonight everything was just sort of passable.  -After being "forced" to order dessert, then finishing our desserts (green tea and adzuki bean ice cream), and having our plates cleared, we were asked not once, not twice, three(!) times... "Would you like to order dessert?"  -And two of those times were by our original waitress?!?!?!?

However, the conversation was sparkling, and the jazz duo playing tonight were quite good.

Thanks, everyone, for your comments on my avatar.   I feel a little guilty about it, though, because I sort of swiped it from a blog I sometimes read.  I don't know how the blog author created it, and I suspect if that blog author ever joins HHW, I'll have some 'splain' to do!   :-\

:o  I am shocked!!  ;)  I really like the avatar

I am listening to the Top 40 Hindi countdown on RadioNRI and trying to decide what to watch on the telvision.

Bollywood or non-Bollywood...that is the question.

Maybe I am in the mood for some Italian...I do have quite a lot of Italian films waiting to be viewed....or I could read.
