JERICHO had a stirring series finale tonight. I'm glad I caught this second season of the show. Very gripping scenario with some great characters and relationships.

One negative note: the moronic engineer at my local CBS affiliate forgot to flip the HD switch until 26 minutes into the show.

Naturally, they will be getting an e-mail of complaint about that.

Tomorrow will be a fun day of viewing for me regardless of what comes in the mail. I will likely finish BLADES OF GLORY, and then I will watch THE DEPARTED on Blu-ray. The disc has been sitting here for many months, long enough for another Oscar champ to have been named, so it's time to watch the 2006 winner.

I forgot to mention that I did watch today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. No gay boys and they were not in the previews for tomorrow either.

As for tonight's "American Idol"...

One contestant made a very, very, very smart song choice.

And one or two contestants were brilliant, imho

I'll guess:

A. Kristy Cook

B. Michael Johns and David Cook

Or, throw the raw oysters into the eggs, then roll the oysters in cracker crumbs, and bake them in a hot 500 degree oven.

Made with Olympia oysters and done in a skillet it's called "Hangtown Fry". A Goldrush staple from Placerville CA (where Woody's Great-Grandfather was sheriff).

No, I don't know anyone who has stayed there. Years and years ago someone who worked at my office lived there for a couple of months. She said it was clean, safe, and very, very, very secure. It's run by the Salvation Army after all and there are no, I repeat, no men allowed past the lobby. It seems like a set up for Bosom Buddies.

Thank you Ben.  I'll have her check it out.

I just took advantage of eBay's 1 cent listing sale and spent the last half hour listing about 45 screeners I will never want to watch again, along with a few older DVDs of mine I no longer have interest in.  I must say that eBay has made it much easier to list things through the years, what with their Muze link now that provides all the info automatically.

I also used the 10% off coupon and went ahead and got a Samsung dual HD format player for about 75% off list price.  So even if it sucks, I won't feel totally ripped off.  :)

Well... Another day of auditions tomorrow for me, and since it's an EPA, I'm guessing I'll be having quite the full day.  So...

Goodnight.

Back from a hard but good rehearsal in which we blocked about seventeen pages - I always forget just how complicated the final twelve page scene is - so much happens so quickly and people are moving here and there and it all has to be done with extreme precision and be funny.  EVeryone is feeling their way now, but we got it all done and it will be fine.

When I was younger I loved to listen to AM radio and try to pick up far away station.  I used to pick up stations in TExas, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, SD and many eastern states
