Nobody at the Photo Op bothered to help Senator Clinton last week when she stopped at a Marathon station and decided to have a cup of coffee.  I thought everyone had seen it by now.

The joke is one from several months ago, but I changed the punch line.  You use it to emphasize how well known someone is.

Two guys are walking down the street and the Pope and another man are walking toward them.

First guy:  Isn't that the Pope?
Second guy:  I don't know, but that guy with him is [Larry Moore].

It was funny a couple of months ago.  Hillary, get me a cup of java.

I still don't get it, but here's a true story about Tennessee Williams and the insane Sylvia Miles who would go to the opening of an envelope.  Sylvia was doing a Williams play in London, VIEUX CARRE? SMALL CRAFT WARNINGS?  Anyway, they were walking down a street in London and they a very thin woman.  "Anarexia," Sylvia said. "You know everyone, " Tennessee said.

I haven't watched any of the edited versions on CBS so I have no idea what has been edited, but I'm fairly squeamish about blood and violence, and I can say that it's the double-barreled intensity of Season 2 that had me squirming, not the violence.

Well you've only had a few episodes so far for Season 2, right?

I'm assuming that what is airing here on the movie network is airing the same time in the US. I think my sis has recorded maybe 5 or 6 episodes so far (not sure of the exact amount).

Btw, i just watched part 1 of the Season 1 finale (that airs tonight on CBS). Wow!

I'm curious is anyone else here as excited about the SEX & THE CITY MOVIE (opening may 30th). I saw them on Oprah this past week. And i am very excited.

They showed the movie to the audience, minus the last 20 minutes. And they were asked to swear on their honor (by Sarah jessica parker) that they would not talk about any of it!

Oh I am also really looking forward to MAMMA MIA.

My sis said that she really wants to see SEX & THE CITY too. And i don't even think she's been to more than 1 movie in the last 2 1/2 years since my niece was born!

Oh and btw, Oprah herself saw the SEX & THE CITY movie (not sure if she got to see the last 20 minutes) but she said that fans of the show would not be disappointed.

It was actually funny when they showed clips of the filming of the movie (in NYC). There were so many fans with cell phones taking pictures and trying to get dialogue.

Sarah jessica parker said that since so much was shot outdoors she just kept saying (so she could be overheard) "wow what an interesting dream sequence." :)

2 absurd stories from my workday yesterday:

Right after we opened, a man stormed in demanding a phone book and demanding to know, "Why is Fifth Third Bank closed today?"  I was tempted to tell him that I'd resigned as CEO of the bank so could not answer that question.

Later in the afternoon, a guy called to ask a totally inane question.  I kept him on hold for a long time, hoping he'd give up, but I really did try to find an answer to his (inane) question.  When I went back to him with a referral to a source that I thought might be able to help him, the conversation went like this:

Me:  Sir, thank you for waiting.  I'm not able to find an answer to your question, but have found contact information for the National Postal Museum.  Maybe someone there could assist you; would you like their phone number?

Him:  OK.

Me:  The number is area code 202...

Him:  Oh, that's in Washington, DC.  I've already called the White House and the President won't talk to me.

Me (to myself):  Imagine that.

DR GINNY - there are NO answers for some questions....or I guess, some questioners.

I am also looking forward to the film version of MAMMA MIA!

For the first time in ages we went to the movie theater.  We saw THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM- Jackie Chan & Jet Li together!  They were both a joy to watch.  This was the Jackie Chan we used to love.

We thought the movie was wonderful & walked out of the theater feeling relaxed and happy.

I would be negligent if I didn’t mention how much I enjoyed the performance of Michael Angaranom (the young star of SKY HIGH), now a talented young adult.

Earlier today my computer crashed & it appeared all was lost on it.  I have no idea what Keith did, just that he has revived it, with all my info intact.  :D

Don't fret - it's a techo-guy thing.

If you spent less time "arranging things" and more time frivolling away the day at the office water cooler, you'd know all these Pope jokes.

ONLY FIVE DAYS LEFT to place your bid on eBay for a walk-on role in THE BRAIN FROM PLANET X!!!!!

I could probably afford to win the auction, but it is that damn air fare that would get in the way.

Back from a wonderful dinner at The Palm with Rupert. For those of you who don't know, we've been friends for over 30 years. I don't get to see him very often, so when I do it's always a wonderful time with lots of food and great conversation.  So, I am full of steak, clams casino, key lime pie, potatoes, onion rings and fresh spinach and roasted garlic plus a taste of all his dishes....with a couple glasses of white wine for good measure.

I am sleepy, but should probably not sleep with this full of a stomach..,  For breakfast I'll have monkey cake - which has cream cheese frosting!

I don't have a refrigerator in this room so I turned on the air conditioner and set the monkey cake in it's plastic container on top of the vent, LOL, It will be nice and cool and I will be huddled under my covers.
