RE: IDOL

I wouldn't care if little david left tonight (he won't).  He was driving me crazy last night. The way he closes his eyes and just blankly stares while he sings.

I think david cook will win. However it's not always possible to totally tell where the 3rd place person's votes will go.

I thought david cook's first song was really good. And i thought syesha looked wonderful in her sparkly dresses.

By the way, for those who are interested, the ION network is showing the Quantum Leap episode that involves "Man of La Mancha," tonight at 9:00 PM.  I've never seen it, though heard about it, so will have my DVR recording it.

Given the amount of time you spend sitting, DR Matt H. - both for work and for pleasure - I sure hope you walked into a furniture store and said, "Show me the most comfortable recliner you've got!"   :)

the zero-gravity recliners from Backsaver are veerrryy comfy.

Well, I am a real grumbler today. I haven't been sleeping well for the last ten days, and I woke up before 6:00 this morning, an ungodly hour, IMHO. I dragged myself out of bed and did the gardening. So that's done now, but boy, am I sore! These old bones just ain't what they used to be.

I'm also trying to get a hold of my roofer. There was some serious storm damage over the weekend (sunday night?), and Matt can't take care of it all.

So I am not a happy camper.

Jack, can you align those planets a bit more favorably?

Well, I luck out there. since I work out of my home office, I don't drive much. I only fill up about once a month. It's the heating bills the last few years that about gave me a heart attack.

Raining here today, so we are not hearing many singing birds.  However Abby Normal the canary has learned the tones of the numbers on the telephone and likes to sing along when anyone makes a call.

Thanks for all the Travel Vibes so far.  I've been looking at the forecast, and the weather here and there is fine.  However, there's a lot of stuff in the middle.  Again.  When I flew out here last Wednesday, the captain made a couple of announcements about the most likely rough skies even before we pulled away from the gate, so... And, yes, it was bumpy every now and then.. "Well, we're going to go up another 10,000 feet.".

In any case... I've had a wonderful time here in L.A. over the past week.  It was great catching up with some old friends, and, hopefully, on my next trip (whenever that is), I'll be able to catch up with the ones I wasn't able to touch base with this time around.  I am looking forward to getting back to NYC, but I have to say, if I could stay another day or two, I would.

DR MBarnum - Ah, you'll be staying right across the river.  By the gambling boats I believe.  Hmm... ;)

I hope you get into Memphis proper, at least to see the ducks in the Peabody Hotel lobby.
