I have been requested by my bosses to do VANAJA next, so I'll be putting THE INVADERS aside later today and watching VANAJA.

However, I will be watching SMALLVILLE and CSI while I cook and eat lunch. I'll do the movie later in the day and should have the review up by midnight or so.

I have a question for all DRs re: reading newsgroups

Does anybody know of any free newsreaders, other than google.

My internet provider had a great way to read newsgroups. But this week they decided they no longer will provide it.

And it's driving me crazy. The only group i read is my cbs soaps group. But i hate hate how it looks on google. I like to see each post one by one with the newest post on the top (maybe there is a way to configure google to do this?

Anyhow if anybody knows of any ideas, thanks in advance.

I know you could at one time through MS Outlook Express.

With nothing of interest for me on TV tonight, I should be able to get both the film and a couple of additional episodes of THE INVADERS done today.

I love the DR Jose pix (even though at first I thought they looked like they were taken in jail!) and my favorite is #134. I like to see DR Jose's beautiful smile!

It's absolutely a perfect day outside--sunny and cool. Great gardening weather.

I hope to see my LFB (Little French Boy) sometime this weekend. Perhaps dinner tomorrow night with a cellist friend of mine who met the LFB on his first visit here (when he was 17!).

I am now on summer hours at work and stuck in the drama i could do without. I would rather watch a soap opera or a well written drama than be in one.

I am contemplating going for a walk a bit later.... It is nice out today and above 70 and that has been a rare occurrence for us this spring.

Not a suggestion, but a TFNM question.  Are you keeping it in the 70s or moving it to present day?

DR Jose-My  favorites are  134, 079, 085, 102, 098, and 107.  I don’t care for your coloring on the last group of photos.  Can they be altered if you decide to use any of them?

I have to take Sherlock for a hike before it gets to hot.  Give me a number to reduce my choices to & I will later on today.  There are so many wonderful photos it is difficult to decide.

Will Elder from "Will Elder: The Mad Playboy of Art."

Will Elder, 86; original cartoonist for Mad magazine

A flawless artist, Elder also had a satiric edge.

By Dennis McLellan, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
May 17, 2008

Will Elder, one of the original Mad magazine cartoonist-illustrators who helped set the irreverent visual style of the legendary satirical publication in the 1950s and later co-created the long-running "Little Annie Fanny" color cartoon strip in Playboy magazine, has died. He was 86.
