Next I watched Wednesday night's BOSTON LEGAL. OK season finale, and you could tell when they made it they weren't sure if the show was going to be renewed or not. It could have served as the series finale.

Then I started on the first of the TV box sets: THE FUGITIVE, Season 2. I loved this show when I was a teenager (yes, I had a BIG crush on David Janssen), and it holds up beautifully now.

The first episode had Ed Begley as the principal guest star, a former star lawyer put out to pasture teaching law who wanted to get back in a court retrying Kimble's case to win it for him. Wonderful season start for the show.

The second episode had Suzanne Pleshette as a former friend who was in love with Kimble and who wants to run away to Brazil with him (so the cops can't get him). A very good episode, too, even though she lies to him about information she has about the one armed man.

I started the third episode which guest stars Lois Nettleton as a deranged murderess who killed a man for leaving her, but she's using Kimble as her alibi, which, of course, is not something he wants to do.

Lots of action at Chez derBrucer/SWW today, even though only one of them was home......

Sure beats yesterday when I spent almost the entire day phone-sitting (which means no internet) waiting for word from a local contractor on when he would be arriving at my daughter's camp-site to deliver a load of pea-gravel. (Pea gravel sounds like something you put out for cats!) The 10-12 promised delivery happened at about 3:15 :(

I'm going to have to set THE FUGITIVE aside, however, because in the mail today came two Disney Blu-ray releases: THE RECRUIT and SIGNS, both of which have street dates of June 3rd, and since THE FUGITIVE doesn't come out until the 10th, I need to get them done first.

Haven't decided which of the two Blu-rays I'll watch tonight. Whichever has the fewer bonus features since I didn't get started on it this afternoon. I'd like to finish it tonight if possible. I know SIGNS won't have a commentary. Not sure about THE RECRUIT.

NOW....I might take a look at SYTYCD - IF the football player from Ohio comes back and gets sent to Las Vegas....if there is a sighting, some DR might let me know.

I kept trying to figure out what CD was the SYTY CD.  I went thru just about every musical I could come up with, with no luck.

Oh, I dunno...

How about the guy in bed next to you?

;D

Gee, he told me something about having to ship out first thing this morning to go overseas.  He said this might be his only chance at love.   :)

But he did leave me a note on my pillow that read, "Buy Bonds."

Does Toto need a pedicure?

He got one when they got to the Emerald City (and I don't mean Seattle).

Proofing, organizing, and then just had two long telephonic calls.  I guess I can say that schedule-permitting, the role of Harry Schechter in the informai reading of Nudie Musical will be played by Mr. Patrick Cassidy.  I hope to have news about Rosie in the next day or so.

Great news!

I've decided on SIGNS tonight. No commentary (THE RECRUIT has one) and it's seven minutes shorter, so I should be able to watch the entire disc completely tonight.

Ain't no one told them how to spell it? It's GEORGIA---Jorja's how the ignunt people spells it.

Of which, it seems, you have quite a few:

ATLANTA JOURNAL CONSTITUTION

Quote
State notifies parents before releasing awful test scores

In social studies CRCT, less than 30 percent pass; In math, 40 percent

According to the unofficial results, only 20 to 30 percent of Georgia's sixth- and seventh-graders passed the state social studies exam. In math, about 40 percent of eighth-graders could be held back because they failed the test.

The parents will be so pleased.

TOD

CD:
Dreamers, A Cabaret in Concert with the beautiful voice of Tony Dale

OMG!  I'm so embarrassed...    :-[

I own a copy of this disc, and thought it was a DVD of some obscure Hollywood movie!   :-\

I will immediately pull it out of the "to be watched" stack and insert it into my CD player!

Egad...
