Frank Mancuso, Sr. (Founded Paramount Pictures)

I thought Adolph Zukor did that.   ???

Just assembled a triple recipe of my famous baked beans.  I'll soon pop them into the oven and go pick up my Mom.  We'll rendezvous back here with Richard and Rob and Mary Linda and proceed to the family gathering out in DR Elmore's neighborhood.

Unfortunately, it looks like it's about to rain again  :(

Yes DR GINNY rain is headed this way.  We haven't gotten it yet, but I expect it in the next hour or so.

Finished up stacking the rocks for the garden and Pet Sematery and now we are off to buy some mulch and filler for the last of the backyard projects today.

Before the rain, I hope.  But my helper decided she needed to eat something first.....

DR EDISAURUS, the video is on cassette, and I am not quite sure how to upload to my computer and then DVD, but I that is a project for after ALL MY SONS...and SINGIN IN THE RAIN.

I always thought Jane Russell had the most famous Paramounts in Hollywood.

Ferry (Across The) Mersey.

On another, probably unrelated subject, we also watched The Orphanage yesterday.  Nice, atmospheric ghost story with not one jump cut accompanied by loud music to be seen/heard.  Heartbreaking denouement, however.

Well, all I can think of is Fred Mertz and Matt H beat me to it.   I think I'll take my toys and go home.....

Actually, I beat you both to it back on page one - you remember page one :)

And Frankie Muniz was taken a page or so ago.

And elmore just beat me to Frank Military.

Last night, one of the producers from the gardening show took my DH and I to see James Taylor in our outdoor amphitheatre. I've always liked JT...never had any of his albums, but my DH was a fan, so he was very happy he got to go.

I never felt particularly moved, or excited by the music but it was enjoyable. One surprise was when he launched into "Oh, What A Beautiful Morning", with a very pretty arrangement and interesting chord voicings.

Well, obviously we won't be seeing James in the role of Curly.

A giant panda sits in a cage as workers work to load it on an airplane at the Chengdu Shuangliu Airport on May 24, 2008 in Chengdu of Sichuan Province, China. The eight giant pandas from the Wolong Giant Panda Reserve, some 32km from the epicenter of the deadly earthquake in Sichuan Province, will be transported to Beijing by a special plane on May 24 for a public display at the Beijing Zoo. BK, I had never read your Christopher Connelly story before.  How heartbreaking.  I didn't even realize that Mr. Connelly had passed away.  I always enjoyed his work.
