We finally gave in and turned on our air conditioning this morning.  Not that the temperature is so high, but it's so humid that you couldn't scoot your chair away from our kitchen table  :P

 ;D

Oh, the imagery!

I'm having an early lunch with best friend John today, so I guess I'd better finish up here quickly so I can be downstairs waiting when his car pulls in the driveway.

Other then some Hercules films I am unable to think of anything for the TOD.

Is it possible you've not seen anything other than some Hercules films in this genre?

I also briefly considered this:

But that look was done to perfection in "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert".  Anything else is just tacky.

Good morning!

Yep, I can tell that I did a LOT of gardening this weekend...mostly just reclaiming what nature had decided to take over.

We watched ACROSS THE UNIVERSE on BluE-Ray yesterday.  Doesn't quite work, but I have to say some of the reimaginings of songs I thought were pure genius, especially She's So Heavy (absolutely brilliant and unexpected) and Strawberry Fields Forever.  PREDICTION DEPARTMENT:  The kid who played Max is going to star in a Kurt Cobain biopic.  You read it here first.

Good Morning!  Good Afternoon!

I'm up, I'm up... And we turned on our A/C for the first time this season too this morning.  -And we'll turn it off in a few, since we just wanted to "de-stuffy-fy" the place for a bit.  The humidity is definitely up today.

DR JoseSPiano - since turning on the A/C presumably raises your shared utility bill, do all the tenants have to agree on the decision to turn it on?

DR Matt:

Yes, the new Andromeda is slower.

It's also much more cynical about government.  And there's more iffy sci-fi involved.

But it's nice to hear Daniel Dae Kim speaking perfect English.  And he, Benjamin Bratt, and Rick Schroder are all nice to look at.

Eric MacCormack plays a jerk/journalist.  Or is that redundant?

According to his latest TV interviews, he's gone back to "being" Ricky Schroder.  "Rick" just didn't stick or seem right.

No.  Since the bill is split between four people, our ConEd bill is never that high  -Additionally, we're all very conscious about keeping everyone's utility bills down, so it all evens out in the wash so to speak (and I guess literally too since we have a W/D in the apartment).

If anyone want a real good hoot-and-hollering laugh, just tune into the opening segments of today's "All My Children".  My roommate was just flipping channels when we saw someone get shot... someone else jump onto a helicopter... WHAT?!?!?  ;D

I went back to bed around seven-fifteen, had an interesting thought about a Nudie change, and fell asleep for two hours, so at least I got a little more sleep.  I'm going to contemplate this change now, which requires working at the piano.

Momentary Gush!

I decided that I having been looking at the proverbial glass as half-empty, rather than half-full.  I have been lamenting the fact that I didn’t get to see the performance of THE LAST STARFIGHTER, which I had been eagerly anticipating.  But what I keep failing to remind myself is that I had the rare opportunity to share a Thursday afternoon with two delightful, charming, and very talented gentlemen; actually three gentlemen when you add George into the equation.  Oh, how very lucky I am to have found Haines His Way, and how lucky BK is to have gathered together such a warm and delightful group of friends.

End of Gush

To George and TCB and others who sent vibes, here's the news on the health situation for our leading man's father:  Brian's  father was released from the hospital and thankfully even was able to come to two of the performances, as well as the closing day party, although he clearly had to take it easy.

Thanks for the update, Fred.  That's good news. :)
