Hi, Cilla!  How are things where you are?  Well, I had my interview yesterday and it went pretty good.  Now is the waiting game.  I noticed BK mentioned Leif Ericson in his column this morning.  I use to work with his daughter where I currently am; however, she is no longer there.  She was a doll...gorgeous and so sweet.

DR Cillaliz - when you disappeared last night, I was afraid you'd had to take cover.  Relieved to read that you'd gone on an errand of mercy.  Vibes to all in your community!

It was indeed a noble thing that DR Cillaliz did last night!   :)

I wish I could donate blood, too.  But alas, the Red Cross will not accept mine.   :(

Yeah, DR JRand, better count me out for the tap number.  However, if you decide to do The Producers, I'm becoming quite proficient with the prop that's featured in "Along Came Bialy."

DR Ginny, Thank you so much! :)  Would be nice not to have to claim unemployment if I don't have to.  We'll see.  How are you doing?

That's ridiculous.

Well.  I do understand the concern about AIDS and the blood supply.  That being said, gay people can be just as monogamous or as promiscuous as straight people.  So my feeling is that the Red Cross should apply one standard across the board and welcome anyone who wants to help out.

Thanks to DRs Singdaw and FJL!  The nerve block is mostly gone, so I'm now aware of my toes, but the pain is not unbearable.

You know you're a theatre queen when...

you hear the words "City Lights" and you think of Liza Minnelli in THE ACT.  :)

Good morning!

A bit cooler and only supposed to be in the upper 80s today, so that's a bit of relief. And we may get more thundershowers this afternoon, too. The nice one yesterday was helpful and another day would also be good for all.

I could not agree with you more. I continue to be horrified and mystified and greatly hurt by their treatment of gay people. It's ludicrous and totally unfair.

I'm happy and proud for people who can help, but I certainly feel like a second-class citizen whenever the subject of the Red Cross comes up.

I will be returning to the reviewing chores today with an animated version of TRANSFORMERS. It's listed as 66 minutes, so I should be able to watch it completely this afternoon.

Early in today's UPS post came the review copy of DRILLBIT TAYLOR which I'll be working on tomorrow. There are A LOT of bonus features on this set.

DR Elmore, re COMPANY:

Having done a "standard" version of COMPANY back in the early 1990s (I was Harry and spent weeks learning to be thrown so I wouldn't get hurt), I didn't care for the staging or Doyle's patented approach to this material. That said, the score is pretty well served by the cast, and in DTS-HD MA sound last night, I found myself replaying some songs that sounded really wonderful.

I have every other Sondheim show that's been issued on commercial DVD (or Blu-ray) with the exception of the LuPone/Hearn SWEENEY TODD which I just could not stand. So, this had to be added to the archives.
