And wouldn't you know it, I cannot find the lyrics to "Glass Mountain," that wonderful song from "The Oscar" (not "Maybe September", the tune they "call" "The Song from 'The Oscar'") but that lovely theme used throughout the film and only the album is sung by a chorus.

Today is shaping up to become a red-letter day.

Whether that's good or bad is still up-in-the-air.

I have a doctor's appointment (quarterly) at the VA this afternoon.  As I am classified 10% disabled, I must make the best of these appointments.

I'm up, I'm up.  A little earlier than necessary, but who's counting.  Who is always counting, especially in the morning.  Have you ever tried sleeping when who is sitting there like so much fish going 4.5, 6, 7, 12 13, 14, 22, 23, 23 (I hate when who repeats numbers).

I guess we now have confirmation that RLP doesn't read my posts.  :)

I have the original sheet music, signed by Percy, of both Maybe September and Glass Mountain.  One of my proudest moments as a musician was being able to perform Maybe September for Ray Evans many years ago.  He told me Percy would have loved my piano playing, which really touched me very deeply.  He had tears in his eyes when he came up to me, and I am insisting to this day they were tears of joy.  ;)

BTW, The Oscar, as all of Percy's Columbia oeuvre, is out on CD and still in print at Oldies/Collectables.

I haven't "caught up" by a long shot, no.

"Glass Mountain"?  Pretty Please!

The Dramatists Guild has issued a statement on the exclusion of certain Tony awards from the telecast:

I feel like issuing a statement.

I'm dashed if I can think of anything specific I'd want to say just now, but a statement seems like just the ticket.

Just because I might be able to find you in 16 days -- at least, in terms of geographical juxtapositioning, I'd be able to hunt you down -- don't let that stop you!

Quickly, you movie trivia hounds!  What movie comedy of the 60s was "this" the tagline for:

"Wake up! Break the rules! Rock the boat! Make love! Fall over laughing!!!"

It's unusual for so many Hainsies and Kimlets to be so quiet at this time of day.

Hmmm...looking back at some of posts from Sunday, i guess I was somehow signed in on HHW during part of the Tony telecast, even though I was hard at work elsewhere at the computer.  I did come to HHW for the after-party, though.

My UPS deliveries arrived yesterday, surprisingly.

I have my "Carmen Miranda" box set, the second (and last) season of "Jericho" and the DVD (plus bonus CD soundtrack) of "Fanny".

Life is balanced.

How can you tell this from looking at Sunday's posts?

While out and about doing lunch errands, I popped bk's album "Broadway Bound" into the olde CD player.  I hadn't listened to it in ages.

What a great album!  What sparkling orchestrations!  :D

Well, I didn't know.  But Google is my friend.  And of course, now that I know, it makes perfect sense.   8)   Why couldn't I think of that?    :P

Of course,  the title "My Days on the Couch" could have several different interpretations...   ;)

Three on the Couch is a good title.
