YES.   And he was supposed to be front and center, modeling the pastel pasties.

NO.  That was you.  I don't wear pasties, pastel-colored or otherwise.

Good morning, all! Thje alarm went off at 6:30 but my body refused to move until 8:00.  I'm moving - slowly - but I'm up and about and planning my day. The water is turned off at Toyland today between 11am and 2pm, so I will work here until 11, and head to the 42nd Street NYPL.  I may be seeing SAVED tonight, if the ticket comes through, since it's closing on Sunday, and one of my favorite people is is orchestrator.

DRs FJL and JoseS, safe travel vibes to both of you for today and the weekend![move=left,scroll,6,transparent,100%]~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Apparently their slogan "I Found It At Colony" does not apply to checks.

BK, re: COLONY

Unless they are going out of business, i'm sure you will get your money eventually. 2 months is not that long (it might feel long for you).

It's annoying.  And if you don't want to sell to them again that is fine.  But sometimes it's overwhelming being in accounts payable when every one is calling and you don't have the money to send (don't know if that is their issue).

Just keep calling. And sending the invoices.

re: the daytime emmys.

In my tv it says they are from 8-11pm.

But our paper updates the tv guide each day.

And it says 8-10pm with a new premiere MVP at 10pm.

I saw a promo for this, and even though they said it was a soap network show (implying they made it), i think it is the Canadian soap MVP: the secret lives of hockey wives (i believe on abc it is called mvp: he shoots, she scores).

If it's the same then it's about the lives of hockey players and their wives. I won't say it was great. But i watched it. There was one couple that completely fascinated me, and kept me watching.

Regarding the Colony, they are the most overpriced CD store in NYC.  The last thing I bough there was BK's A HOLLYWOOD CHRISTMAS (before he was selling online) and that was because it was the only place in NYC I could find it (I had checked at least a dozen stores).  They charged $25.  Although I don't know for sure, I assume that because of their location, most of their customers are tourists.

BK mentioned Jason Grae.  He was in NYC Monday for "Broadway by the Year 1979" and will be back in mid-July for two events.  He will be part of the Musicals in Mufti Larry Grossman revue (with Lorna Luft, Liz Larson and a couple of others) and also for Town Hall's A NIGHT AT THE OPERETTA 2 along with Marc Kudish and the wonderful Nancy Anderson.

Bruce, you have actor friends in NYC.

I'm sure that some of them have played "Godfather=types" in the past.

Why don't you have one of them stop by Colony Records to pick up your check?

No violence.  No overt threats.  Just "atmosphere".

Well, 'tis time for me to head down to my friend's place to watch his adorable son for a few hours.  I shall have my laptop with me, so I should be able to post.  -Apparently, the baby is still dealing with a serious case of jetlag, and has been sleeping until around 1:00pm.  We shall see.

When I had my check cashing business and a store or other business dropped a bad check on me, I'd go over to the place and stand in the middle of the floor...with customers all around...and didn't move until they paid me.  Actually, I never had to wait very long.

Good morning!

Another coolish morning (not as cool as the previous three mornings) so everything's open and cooling down. But it's going to be hotter today, and I suspect the A/C will be turned back on earlier than yesterday (which was around 6 p.m.)

The key to the story is that you personally went to collect what was owed to you.

I think for it to make the optimum impact, Bruce is going to have to do something similarly drastic in person. Proxies just won't make the same impression.

Good morning!

On my video deck---loading the dailies from the 5th episode of the new season of THE CLOSER, with guest star Jennifer Coolidge as a wife of a wealthy car dealer who tries to hire someone to murder her husband. She unwittingly hires Provenza. (No spoiler as this is all revealed on the first page.)

Hilarity ensues.. .a great showcase for G.W. Bailey!

There is more cloud cover this morning than any other morning this week. I think we have rain in our futures, if not today than certainly tomorrow.

We certainly need it. We're already runnning 2 inches below normal just for this month, and we were already 4 inches below normal for the year before this month started. (That's in addition to the 14 inches below normal we sustained last year).

We are dry!

I love G.W. who is one of the great deadpan actors in the business currently, and Jennifer Coolidge plays a ditz better than any other actress going. Can't wait for July to get here so we can start seeing some of these great episodes.
