Since I have no writing to do, I think I'll shut everything down and go to bed.

Good night!

My childhood was more "Radio".

I remember radio.

I used to listen to CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT, THE WHISTLER, INNER SANCTUM and, on Sunday's, our family sat around the big floor radio in the living room and listened to Jack Benny, Alice Faye/Phil Harris and Fred Allen.

I also begin our gruelling three days (yes you read that right) of rehearsals for this crazy revue I'm not only music directing, but also writing and directing.  Oy.  One of my "problem children" let me know yesterday that dress rehearsal was suddenly a problem (though it's been scheduled for months) because he wants to get in a full eight hour work day.  Why did he accept the gig then?  Not a rhetorical question.  :)

Tell him to call in sick!  Not to brag, but I have almost 1200 hours of sick leave. :D Every once in a while, you just gotta do what you gotta do. ;)

JulieC40, did you find out whether you're seeing a show on Friday night?
We don't have one planned as of yet but if there is anyway we can somehow find some last minute tickets to South Pacific, we would love to go to it!

....They had some really inexpensive cast albums - Legs Diamond for six bucks, The Nervous Set for eight bucks....

I remember buying both of these CDs when they were fisrt released.  They cost me more than that.

Well, today I moved my computer (just from one corner to the opposite corner on the same wall) and as you can see, it still works!

My room is much more cluttered now than it was before I moved anything, but that's what happens. :-\

DP's Stepmother (and her twin 80 year old sister)have just returned from seeing "Mama Mia".  They enjoyed it a lot and can not believe my "attitude" to it.  I have no problem at all with the fact that people enjoy it. I just don't support jukebox musicals!

Perhaps marriage is taking its toll on DR WhiteFrock.  Freedom to post is denied.

This is a possibly fruitless and pointless effort to reach the next page.
