Back from a two-mile jog.  I weighed myself before I left, so with great trepidation I got on the scale to see if I'd maintened or had damage, although I doubted the latter, given the meals I had on my first and last days in NY.  Well, since Thursday I am the proud loser of FOUR count them FOUR pounds.  Hoo and ray, baby.  The total lost is now seven-and-a-half pounds - slow going but I think my body is now in the "lose" mode - my metabolic rate has definitely changed and so perhaps in the next couple of weeks I'll lose another four or five pounds.

Well, actually, I was carrying 2 bags and one of them was a VB.  But the heavy one contained, among other things, a 125-piece assortment bag of M&M/Mars minis (for my coworkers).

Of course!  Middletown, OH, where I live and where DR Elmore grew up is David's hometown, too.

I was just getting ready to post David; he's a hometown boy from Middletown OH. His dad was the Monroe High School music director.

BK,

the rules prohibit pilots from taking off if, on landing,  their total pilot hours would exceed their limit for the day.

We had this happen to us years ago, the entire crew was pulled off and we had to wait for a new one.  This of course was due to a long delay.  Waiting for the new crew extended our delay another hour or two.

Thanks, DRs Edi and Singdaw.  Actually, I am glad to be back into some kind of structure.  The only difficulty I had this morning was walking from my parking space - about a block and a half.  What made it difficult was the heavy bag I was carrying.

Can you and your injured co-worker get parking closer parking places while you recover?

THE BIG BANG THEORY is rerunning that TIME MACHINE episode which I'll record this time; I missed it the first go-round.

I'm glad you will catch it this time around.  Anyone, including those who don't watch the show, should see this episode.

I wonder if he posts here and knows I am an ex-teacher.

Back from a yummilicious lunch at The Kansas City Barbecue - I had a half-rack of baby back ribs - five in total.  Not all that much meat on them, so although I'm quite full, I think I'm fine.  No bread, but a little thing of coleslaw and a little thing of their incredible baked beans.  And that was my meal o' the day.  As I was finishing, five men came in, obviously newbies to the jernt and they had a coupon for one free sandwich with the purchase of a similar sandwich.  The first guy orders the burnt ends sandwich.  The second guy orders the burnt ends sandwich.  The third guy orders the burnt ends sandwich.  The fourth guy orders the burnt ends sandwich.  And the fifth guy, just to be contrary, orders the burnt ends sandwich.  It was all very amusing.

DR Jane - yes, I posted about this around lunchtime.  However, my co-worker cannot drive because both cars to which she has access have standard transmissions and she can't operate the clutch with her casted left foot.  She's dependent on others for rides, but has it all worked out.
