I've got twenty more minutes to go and I have no doubt they will be just as excruciating as the 160 minutes that preceded them.

At least.  ;D

Had such fun this evening watching stuff I wanted to watch without notepad in lap. The time flew by.

I began by watching today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Part of it was preempted by weather bulletins, so I'll get today's write-up on the show elsewhere. The boys were on (naturally) so I'll be curious to see everything that happened. I managed to see about 35 minutes of the show.

Next, I watched MAD MEN. My goodness, little innocent Peggy is growing up and learning some tricks of the trade! I do NOT understand Don's attraction to Bobbi at all.

Next, I put on the Blu-ray of CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER. I like the movie, and there are some great action set pieces, but the plot sure meanders all over the place.

The Blu-ray looks simply fabulous, and it had a Dolby TrueHD audio mix which was also sensational.

I followed this up with Sunday night's LAW & ORDER: CI. Great to see Tony Goldwyn again as Bobby's brother, and John Glover is always wonderful to watch.

Nicole Wallace was always an excellent nemesis for Bobby, but this seems to write finis to her character now, and I'm not sorry.

I concluded the evening by watching the first 20 minutes of the Robinson/Davis/Bogart KID GALAHAD. I haven't seen this in quite awhile, and since I didn't buy the latest gangsters box where it was contained, I did want to see it again without buying that entire box. I don't think those movies are being sold separately.

Tomorrow I'll be watching THE EXECUTIONER'S SONG for review. It came out on the 5th of this month, but Paramount overlooked sending it to me until Friday. That and PERRY MASON will both be late, but I'll get them done.

Congratulations to DR Michael Shayne on his exam results. Hope the next part ends just as successfully for you.

(All of that seems a million years ago for me, but I do remember how excited I was getting my results once the testing was over. Can't remember how long it took back then. Seems like I took it in the second semester of my junion year in college. I don't think I waited until I was a senior.)

I stayed up too late last night reading, so I'm heading down now to hopefully get a longer night's sleep.

Isn't it strange that one can watch a movie a LOT of times....over and over....and then suddenly a line of dialog is there as though you've never heard it before.

I was watching PSYCHO tonight, and something the psychiatrist said at the end I had never really listened to before, and it made it even more creepy:

Norman was so jealous of his mother's relationships with others, he naturally assumed that she was just as jealous of him....causing him - when he was mother - to go into those rages and kill young women....  And of course, in life....she wasn't at all jealous of Norman....

The sound effect of the closing door that Universal uses in all its movies and tv shows is so jarring....no matter what kind of door it is....that's the way it sounds when it closes.....

I survived the excrement known as the remake of The Andromeda Strain, then began watching the real The Andromeda Strain movie - it's not all that good (didn't think so then, don't think so now), but it's a masterpiece compared to the remake.  At least they try to stay true to Crichton's book, which is a great thriller.

I just returned from a 2.5 hour teleconference meeting. It was exciting, I tell you. Simply thrilling.

DR Jane - I can't remember if this has been answered already, but...

Have you heard from Danise lately?

Why don't you e-mail her?  Personally,  I think if folks want to stay in touch, they WILL stay in touch.

Her e-mail address is under her profile.

I really liked the original movie, but couldn't get past the first 10 minutes of the "remake."

:P I say.

Right now, I'm watching the Lincoln Center revival of A Little Night Music with Sally Ann Howes that's on the hard drive of my DVD burner.  I'm also creating chapter breaks for when it's burned onto an actual DVD. :)
