And I found the following quite interesting too...

When the presidential race began, they had banners announcing "Free Hot Dogs On Inauguration Day!"... But that was only if Bloomberg was being sworn in.

DR JOSE it looks like you had more fun on your birthday than I did on mine, but now I want some ice cream.

Sounds like DR GINNY and DH RICHARD are getting into the New York Groove.

DR JEANNE glad you got a good reading - even on the innerweb!

And here's a pic from last night's festive festivities... The HHW contingent from La Cocina - post-2-for-1-margaritas.  ;)

DR Ginny - Well, my schedule is pretty open this week, so... Do you have dinner plans pre-South Pacific yet?  -I'd join you guys tomorrow for lunch, but tomorrow is a work day for me.

Papaya Hot Dogs?

Well, hot dogs and papaya drinks.

Alas, Gray's Papaya's own site seems to be down at the moment, but here's the website for a related site/foodstand: Papaya King

*Be sure to remind DR MBarnum about his "Papaya King" story sometime.  ;)

I went to see my friend Croft Vaughn - in from Brooklyn - who was doing his show in the Indy Fringe Festival.....it was pretty good.

He wrote the one man piece...although he didn't direct it....it was about an hour and had some laughs and a few tears and a couple of songs....

Was he "direct from the New York City Fringe Festival"?

Richard and I are in for the night after a lovely dinner with our friends Doug & Jon at Cara Mia on 9th Ave.  On our walk back home, we "just happened" to pass Amy's Bread, where we bought some baked goods for tomorrow's breakfast.

And I bet I walked right past you while I was walking up Ninth Ave. on my way back from the webisode filming.  I almost stopped into Amy's Bread myself, but the line was basically out the door, so... -And then I remembered I still had some macarons here too. ;)

Well, I have a recording session tomorrow, and since I usually don't like recording sessions, well... I should get some sleep.

Goodnight.

That's a great family picture!

Hmmm, I guess nothing is going to happen.

It was just that you'd have four 3s in your total number of posts! ;)

Otherwise, nothing else will happen. :)

Now I am watching one of those wacky Larry Buchanan produced/directed movies from Azalea Pictures....this one It's Alive starring Mr Tommy Kirk and bunch of other people.

I don't think this one is a remake of an old AIP (and now George knows what that means)....

Why, yes I do! ;D

This breaks my heart  :'(

Remember the elderly ladies who got married in San Francisco recently.......

http://www.latimes.com/news/obituaries/la-me-martin28-2008aug28,0,3758649.story

I read about this earlier today, too.  I had tears in my eyes.  But it was wonderful that they were able to get legally married...even for this short amount of time. :)

And I didn't know until I read her obituary that we have the same birthday!  May 5 (different years, of course ;)).

Okay, I'm watching "Nightline" with Terry Moran and he introduced tonight's episode about Barack Obama getting the Democratic presidential nomination today.  This is exactly what he said:

"The Democratic Party gave its presidential nomination, and it seemed their heart and soul and the muscle and bone and sinew of their political organization, to Barack Obama, the son of a black man from Kenya and a white man from Kansas.  Now, no matter what your politics, that is a moment for the history books."

:o "...the son of a black man and a white man"??

Yup, that would certainly make the history books!! ;D
