Ok, maybe it's a bit over the top, but not as much as you'd think

I always loved Michael Pate, mostly because he was in The Court Jester.  He was in the movie I watched yesterday, Five Fingers.

There's another Jerry Dixon. It's a character played by actor Peter Riegert on a LAW & ORDER episode. I remember the name because he was a bisexual and was finally killed by his wife after she had also killed his male lover that he was going to take the blame for.

Back from the partay, which was lovely - I stayed the longest I've ever stayed and I decided to eat my meal o' the day there.  I mostly had some really excellent Chinese chicken salad, plus two small helpings of incredible Jambalaya.  That was it.  I spent most of the evening conversing with my pal, film composer John Scott, and Ian Whitcomb.  It was really fun.

Now THIS is the way to welcome in a month - over six hundred postings and 21 pages, and the evening is young, which is more than I can say.

I had a fun evening of viewing, my first in a long time and probably my last for awhile with so many movies and TV box sets awaiting review.

I began by finishing THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT III. Always a wonderfully nostalgic movie, and so many of those Technicolor clips look just stupendous in high definition. Can't wait for some of those films to start arriving on Blu-ray. Looks like the first two will be AN AMERICAN IN PARIS and GIGI.

So are we. Hugo, which was one of the worst disasters ever in this area, happened in 1989, so another "H" hurricane is a scary thought.

Funny you should say that - the Fox meteorologist predicted that Hanna would become a monster storm ("just like Hugo of Floyd") and reach Cat 3 or more before ramming into the East Coast (probably the Carolinas) on Friday.

Next, I put in a movie I've been wanting to revisit for many months - SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS. What an amazing string of five hit songs in a row in that score: "I'm Wishing," "One Song," "With a Smile and a Song," "Whistle While You Work," and "Heigh Ho." Then after the two dwarf silly songs, we get "Someday My Prince Will Come."

Wow! And not a single one of those songs was Oscar nominated!

Next, I put in SINGIN' IN THE RAIN and watched it upconverted. I got through "Good Mornin'" before I turned it off.

The offer has been dropped off to the realtor.  It will be brought to the bank tomorrow.  Now we wait to see if they accept it.  Then inspections and things begin.  Thanks for all the vibes!!!!

Why hasn't someone named John Dorian, Zach Braff's character on SCRUBS?

Well, tomorrow I'll be seeing (for the first time) KILL BILL, Vol. 1 on Blu-ray. Two years after DR TPunk advised me to watch it, I'm finally going to see it (work related; not for pleasure). I'm going into it with an open mind even though I haven't derived much pleasure from Quentin Tarantino's other films though I can see merit in certain sequences and performances of his work.

I didn't see my favorite accordion player on the list: Jackie Daly

Because, as previously noted, you did not identify he/she/it.

I enjoyed it (Raising The Bar) - although I think they tried to cram too much chacter development stuff into one episode.

And how many other officers of the court have you slept with :-X

Let's just say back in teh 80s when I was a young PD, and before Clarence Thomas/Anita Hill made it off limits, there was a lot of intraoffice "fun" going on in our office.  I only knew of one PD/DA couple and that was a BIG PROBLEM.  Didn't know of any judges sleeping with their staff, but it isn't unbeliveable that it was happening back then.

We went from 80 lawyers in our office to 180 in 5 years. We were almost all young and it was wild in those days. Beyond that, I'm not talking.

Not quite, DR Matthew. They will counter-offer and you will counter their counter-offer. Or something like that.
