And for those "completists" out there...

If you start at this link:

11/09/2001: "Welcome"

You can start reading HHW from the very beginning.

OK!  If I'm E&T, it's because I have a little bit of ketchuping to do...

My goodness, I slept till nine today.  Amazing!  It's very overcast outside and looks a little chilly.  So, I guess I'll be getting a late start on the jog and I'm jiggy with that.  In fact, it will be a jiggy jog.

I've got a doctor appointment today, mainly to see if the doctor wants to change my medication for my gout (almost a Ben Franklin in 1776 reference)

I remember the fear when we implemented the new board and I do have a vague memory of a couple of people actually leaving because of it.  I liked the old way of posting until we made the switch.  I knew instantly that this was much, much better.  Some may not remember why we did the switch, but it had nothing to do with technology and being with it - it had to do with a person who was stalking someone and posting under a whole slew of names (one didn't need to register then to post), posting terrible things, and having the new board gave me complete control and the ability to ban someone.  Since then, it's only happened twice, where someone came on purposely trying to disrupt things - same person, two names, someone who followed me to almost every site on which I was posting.  I banned them, which meant they could not reregister from the same computer, so they did go to some trouble the second time.

Film at 11:00...

:)

I recently told an aspiring young filmmaker that if he wanted to make a comedy film that would have audiences roaring and would win all sorts of awards, all he had to do was film me jogging.  No dialogue - just me, and maybe some background music.  Hilarious, I'm telling you.

I have finally caught up!

I just finished working with the pilot of a new TNT series called TRUST ME (formerly called TRUTH IN ADVERTISING, a title I liked better.) It starts Eric McCormack and Tom Cavanaugh. I liked it very much, and the pilot features a very intense Jason O'Mara, last seen on THE CLOSER as Bill Kroelick.

TOD, I wrote BK you while he was at Varese Sarabande after noticing that most of my favorite CD's had maroon spines withh white lettering.  I then noticed that A Bruce Kimmel produced most of the CD's.  I kept up through the record label that dare not speak its name, some of the friends there (including DR Laura and many of you here) and found my way here.  I ended up finding and reading the "One from Column A" series more or less after the fact.  I guess you're not going to get rid of me.

Your comment reminds me of years ago when I forwarded you the receipt for my PO Box--I hadn't noticed when I got it that the postal worker who signed it was, yep, you guessed it, "G. Haines."  You wrote back, "now THAT'S comedy."  :)

TNT did a fun promotion for RAISING THE BAR. It premiered on Labor Day, and in Atlanta, the toll gates for HWY 400 (the only toll highway) had RAISING THE BAR signs on the gate arms. That day, driving had the tab for the toll picked up by TNT, so they got a free raising of the bar!

I got here when I was working on the credits for SACCO AND VANZETTI and trying to figure out how to credit musicians who did their own arrangements of solo piano pieces. Since I'd worked with Grant Geissman on my last film, I looked him up to see how he was listed, and noticed he had done music for a TFNM documentary. That reminded me of the film, which I hadn't seen in many years, which caused me to look up its director, and here I am. I lurked for a day or two, but once I appeared, people were so friendly that I stayed. (I had also recently left the Randy Newman group after wading through too many flame wars by a repeat offender.) That was two years ago next week. How time flies!

Good day one and all!!!

I do have to say this is one of my favorite places to visit when I can... Friendly chat, banter and a wide assortment of amusements. I never fail to have a smile on my face after coming here!

Thanks!

Thursday morning greetings!  As I walked to the staff entrance here at the library, a peregrine falcon swooped across the parking lot and perched in one of the nearby trees.  I watched him for a couple of minutes until he flew low across the park behind our building.  What a magnificent sight!

They are truly a magnificent sight.
