Well, Susannah Mars inaugurates Rave in the Nave this evening, so I am off to run sound and hopefully take a lot of tickets.  :)

I was going to go see Lincoln, but some guy had a microphone and a speaker and was spewing hate for Palin so loud I could hear it from WWII.  I decided that it would be impossible to have a quiet reflective moment with Abe if that was going on there.  There wasn't really a crowd listening to the guy.  I thought it was kind of amusing he was attacking a Republican in front of Lincoln, who was also a Republican.

Maybe he was talking to Lincoln.

Finished watching AAMIR....man that was one good movie...I have not been so emotional from a film since I saw BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN...everytime I think of this movie I burst into tears....

Here is the trailer....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joaXFiQSfdY

I highly recommend it and I hope that India submits this one to the Academy Awards...and the lead actor had best win something as well. He was fantastic

JMK, how much for CAROLINE IN THE CITY season 1? I believe Matt Battaglia appears in an episode so I might enjoy having that one.

TCB, unfortunately the plot did not give Ranjeev Khandelwal an opportinity to remove his shirt...in fact he remained in his business suit through the entire film...however, this was his film debut (he worked in some India soaps), but no doubt we will be seeing more of him in the very near future...I hope.

Back after a nice afternoon and evening with my mom and a not-so-nice Michigan football game on our new TV.  When the game was over, we had a dinner of riblets that Mom got from Schwan's and salad and bread that I picked up at Bravo.

DR Cillaliz, I'm glad you got to the WW II memorial.  Richard and I visited last summer and found it very moving.  Hope you rest well tonight and feel OK for your flight home.

Miss Dixie Bell needs a few good vibes; it seems her left eye has become swollen - she looks a lot like poor DR TCB at this moment. . .The eye was fine all day, it was only after dinner that we noticed anything askew.  Her behavior is normal, so it doesn't seem to be drastically bothering her.  Perhaps an allergy, perhaps a speck of something which shouldn't be there.
I got 25mg of Benedryl into her.
She's happy, sitting here by the computer waiting for her bedtime treats.
If the swelling hasn't gone down in the morning, I shall definitely call the vet's emergency service.

DR Jane - if you are talking about Facebook "Wall" comments, just find a comment from the person on your Wall [on your profile page], and then just click on the "Wall-to-Wall" option right below it - it will display both sides of the whole string.

Seriously, my eye, or rather under my eye started draining yesterday.  It still looks like crap, but it relieved a lot of the pressure.

While I was waiting at the hospital for my friend to come out of surgery Thursday evening; one of the nurses asked me if I had been treated by a doctor, and if so, why the doctor hadn't lanced it.... Thank you very much!  Where was she when I was fighting with the doctor?
