I think I'm getting the hang of posting with the blackberry. It's a lot easier than getting my computer out at the airport. Looks like we're about to board

Happy Birthday to Naomi
Happy Birthday to ColeSlaw
Happy Birthday dear DingDaw
Happy Birthday to SingDawg

And many more!

(Geesh, I would have to sing a bunch more verses in order to cover ALL of your HHW nicknames, you puce-colored-toga-wearing-with-matching-shoes nymph! A most happy day to you)

Greeting from TriBeCa!

We got off the train at Chambers Street and will be working our way south to South Ferry. Right now, we're having breakfast at McDonald's. ;)

Hey DRLaura ~ How did you and yours survive the recent monsoon storms (this monsoon season must be one for the books for you folks down in the Valley -- whew!)? And that giant dust storm the other day? Hope all is well and you were left with no property damage.

Heading down now to get the laundry ready for washing and then I'll think about what's for lunch.

To DR Matt Hough

What is the word out there about the restoration of The Godfather and The Godfather Part II which is showing at the Film Forum in NYC starting next week.

It will be out on Blu Ray in a couple of weeks

I'm not MattH, but I can answer the question - the word is that the restoration is great and restores most of the look of the film to its original intention - the dark, moody Gordon Willis photography apparently looks great again.  Robert Harris worked on it directly with Coppola and Willis.

Congrats to Jrand's parents' 60th.  To stay with one person for sixty years is really something.  If I met someone today and stayed with them for sixty years, I'd be 120 years old.

I'm up.  Dixie Bell is up.
Dixie Bell's eye is very close to normal!  If one hadn't seen it last night, one would never have known that it was that swollen.
Thank you, DRs for all the wonderful vibes sent her way.

It is very quiet at the airport. There were 4 police cars at the hotel when I left this morning. I asked the valet guy what was going on and he said "someone must have called them" Brilliant guy

Oh, I just want to warn everyone that the cause of my computer crash (I think) was some automatic updates that you get from time to time.  The computer was fine before they loaded.  You ever get those?  The shield by the "shut down" icon stating it will do the updates and then shut the computer down for you?

Now it's caught in a loop that says it can't find the Windows file it needs to boot.  I'd bet it's old MicroSoft trying to get me to "upgrade" to Vista.

Keith says he can't explain it, but it is fixable.

Great Anniversary Wishes to Jack's Parents.

If my parents were still alive they would have reached 60 years in 2009

If I had stayed married (SHUDDER!), yesterday or today (can't remember) would have been my 40th anniversary!

Roadrunner completely changed their mail program design - it was fine before, just like Facebook was fine before - why do they continually fix things that don't need fixing?

Hello, everyone.

I spent the morning in the garden. Aren't you supposed to get to the point where your muscles get USED to this and no longer ache?
