Semi-Spoiler Ahead...

Well, they keep talking about how they're running short on time - which is why everyone keeps getting cut off during their acceptance speeches  - but then they just spent a good five minutes - and a commercial break! - announcing the nominees for Best Reality Television Series Host.  Thankfully(!), the bit was sort of funny.

Grant Geissman's 2 and a half Men theme has been getting some airplay on the show!

I would have liked to have heard the rest of the winner's speech that they cut off when he started veering into politics and went to commercial.

There were some well-done digs at the current administration.

Well, some of the winners you posted were from the "Creative Arts" ceremony which happened last week, so...  I think.  Whatever.  ???  ;)

And, I have to say, I was very impressed with the non- and bi-partisan "Get out and vote!" pleas too.

Wondering:

Has any other show won six consecutive Emmy Awards as best program like the Amazing Race has?

I can't believe I got so many things watched. All due to that fabulous invention called the DVR.

First, I watched five more CSI: NY episodes. That leaves five more for tomorrow.

Unless SESEME STREET has, I don't think so.

Next I watched TRUE BLOOD. Best episode yet, I thought. Really starting to dig deep into these characters to see what's making them tick, and I'm loving it.

I did think that Glenn Close looked very beautiful tonight, but Sally Field looked pretty rough, and her hair looked a mess, not in a good way.

By now, it's 10 p.m. so I go to the DVR and start speeding through the Emmys (They had already been on two hours at that point.) I was only interested in seeing which nominees were there and who won and listening to the speeches if I liked the winner.

At any rate, by 10:23, I had caught up to the show! That's two hours and twenty-three minutes of show that I watched in 23 minutes! It's the ONLY way to watch a show like this.

She did look beautiful, but so did Kyra. She looked quite stunning tonight, I thought.

Next, I watched GENERAL HOSPITAL: NIGHT SHIFT on SoapNet. There is a gay doctor on the show, and this Tuesday, Chad Allen begins a three episode arc as his love interest, so I wanted to get to know this character.

Obviously, I sped through that show, too.

I may not be caught up at HHW, but I am completely caught up on reviews, which is a major blessing.  Hallelujah!  (yes, I'm a bum).

Then, I finished watching the Emmys which were wrapping up with the last three categories: reality host, Best Comedy, and Best Drama, none of them surprises.

The Josh Groban bit should be right up your alley!
