Will there be a scene in the House of Marcus Crassus?

If not, you could probably get someone to make a scene.

Would be hardly the business

Does "smarter cuss" rhyme with Spartacus?

It'll have to because "blunderbuss" would be too anachronistic!

Yeah--there's got to be a "I've Got Your Number"/"Whatever Lola Wants" kind of number between him and the Tony Curtis character...

Marcus:  I got your collar!
I own you inside out!
etc...

I've decided to write a musical version of Spartacus.  It came to me on the long jog.  The first song I'm writing is called Oysters and Snails.

Oysters and snails
Females and males
I've tried 'em all, my dear
Oysters and snails
It never fails
I eat them and I feel queer...

Not another Spartacus musical!

Any Eli Stone fans out there?  According to Playbill.com, Benanti Will Miss a Few Gypsy Performances to Film ABC's "Eli Stone."

There's also this paragraph:

Benanti, a show spokesperson confirmed, will not perform at the St. James Theatre Sept. 25-Sept. 28 and Oct. 14-18. In her absence standby [and close and personal friend to BK] Jessica Rush will likely play the role of wallflower Louise, who becomes famed stripper Gypsy Rose Lee.

I was very angry when I chose last night's THE SHIELD from my DVR list. The audio was totally ruined, replaced with a super loud static. The next broadcast isn't coming on until tomorrow night, so I won't see it until Friday at the earliest.

I have never seen YENTL, so I can't comment on it, but the IDEA of YENTL didn't compel me to seek it out....and the casting of YENTL did compel me to avoid it.

Instead I watched last night's GENERAL HOSPITAL: NIGHT SHIFT off SoapNet. Chad Allen is making the first of a three episode story-arc as a love interest for the gay intern on the staff. They did have obvious chemistry together, and I'll look forward to the next two episodes. Chad's character needs a liver transplant, and since his arc is only three episodes, he's either not going to get it, or he'll get it and it won't take. Either way, they're missing what could be a great, long term relationship.

Then, I watched four more episodes of FRIDAY THE 13th series. The evil objects were a statuette of Cupid, a teacup which sent out strangling vines (reminded me immediately of THE RUINS), a Hallowe'en episode with an amulet that could bring the dead back to life, and a "coffin of blood" magic trick.

There was one bonus feature: a couple of promo ads announcing the beginning of the new series. Together, they didn't even run a minute.

And I completed my afternoon viewing by skimming through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Nothing of note in show or previews.

Will you have onstage seating?

Will the actors march around playing musical instruments?

Good Afternoon!

Greetings, once again, from Madison Square Park... Where the "pass off" at Shake Shack seems to be a bit off today. If I wasn't sitting so far away, and if I still wasn't being careful about my left knee, I would have jumped, literally, for some of shakes and drinks they just gave out for free due to mis-fillings. Alas, they got my order - a Shack-ago Dog and a single dip of the Milk Chocolate Chunk Frozen Custard - correct. ;)
