Mine is not a joke but it is a name I saw on a roll of microfilm. The person was born in 1773 and his name was Otto Dick....

The gal next to me was looking at an obit for Gottfried Gassmann

If Bruce produced it, it would be juuuuust right!

Although, DR SWW has "Liz CallOway" recording that  album, not "Liz Callaway".  ;)

I have seen a few other quirky names also including one I would not dare put on the board...

I've had a VERY busy and full evening of viewing.

I began with the lkast two episodes of NUMB3RS from last season. And two wonderful guest stars to end their season: J.P. Pitoc in the penultimate episode and Zeljko Ivanek in the season finale. Enjoyed both shows very much, even though as expected we get saddled with a ridiculous cliffhanger in that last episode.

Next, I watched last night's TRUE BLOOD. Another fabulous episode. That sexy and tension-filled interlude at Fangtasia was wonderful, and there was lots of comedy. Poor Jason is so beautiful and so brain-dead.

Next, I watched last night's DEXTER. The ending "surprise" was exactly as spoilers had suggested it would be. I did like the obvious season-long problem that Dexter's going to be facing with the Jimmy Smits character. Looks like another wonderful season.

CHUCK was lots of fun with the intimidating Michael Clarke Duncan as the primary guest star.

I enjoyed HEROES tonight, too, except for the Hiro segments which just bugged me tonight. I don't find them funny though that's obviously what the writers are going for since he was the breakout star the first season doing a lot of the same klutzy stuff.

The Sylar storyline is fascinating.

Agatha Christie was once asked what it was like being married to an archeologist.

"Wonderful," she said.  "Every year older that I get, my husband becomes more and more interested in me."

And then LIFE concluded my evening with an excellent premiere episode. The new boss seems more willing to roll with Charlie's unusual approach to detection, and I liked that. I really enjoyed the case, too.

I forgot to mention that I did scan through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Nothing of interest in show or previews.

I was expecting to get the SLEEPING BEAUTY Blu-ray today from Disney. A UPS delivery was made very late this afternoon. It was the Blu-ray of THE SIXTH SENSE from Disney (which comes out tomorrow). Nice lead time there, Buena Vista!

Speaking of construction workers, what ever happened to that guy from the Diet Coke commercial?

He owns a diner on Hollywood Blvd. I ate their last time I was in Los Angeles.

Years ago, I remember reading a Reader's Digest that listed a bunch of real names that were funny.  The only one that I can remember is Ima June Bug. ;D

Happy new year.  Did David Letterman do his joke (adjusted annually) about this being the year 5769, but he keeps forgetting and still dates his checks 5768

I just realized that Tom, the director of "Loot" that I'm going to be in, hasn't called me to tell me about rehearsals. :-\ I hope that it's still going to happen.
