Hi everyone and thanks for welcoming me back.

The Fall respiratory crud that's going around found me yesterday and so I stayed home today to try to sleepit off.

Wow! So different.

I am back after a quick trip out of the country.

Montreal is very nice this time of year. Although I understand its about to get cold.

Obviously stuff to fix.  Apparently some people are logging on, posting once, and then getting an error message which then doesn't allow them to post or do anything.  I've forwarded all this stuff to Bakalor and I've been asking questions on the software site.  We'll get it right, please don't get frustrated or weirded out.  If you're getting frustrated just think of me this morning for three hours straight!

Well, the quick reply box is back and we no longer loop to the outside of the posts.  So, two problems down!

Mark thinks the problem with people being locked out of the board has been fixed - please try to post something and tell me it's working fine.

If you are still getting an error message I need to know right away.  Otherwise, I need people to post to see if the problem has been fixed.  You might want to log off and log back in before doing so.

Looks like it's working fine to me. If people are still experiencing problems they should clear their browser's cache and try again.

I'm getting e-mails from people saying there's no reply button, despite having cleared cache (although I don't know if they cleared before Mark fixed it).

Sorry a million times.  Mark has, I believe, left where he was, so he won't be able to help until later, if then.  Clearly something is still off.  He needs to see a screencap of what's wrong.  Can someone send me one so he can see it?  Both he and I see the "reply" button.  I've also had a PM from a guy on the software board who's willing to help for some small dough, so I'm waiting for him to write me back and since he's an expert, he can probably get it all fixed up.

I know how frustrating it is - you can just imagine what I've been going through - for now, I have to either wait until Mark gets back to a computer, or I have to wait till this other guy responds.

I'm really sorry about all this - the guy who can help is being very slow - we're trying to work out how we're going to proceed and Bakalor isn't near a computer yet.  I'm hoping to sort it out before I go to dinner, but if not, I'll spend all night on it if I have to.

Something's happening - the board looks more like it used to.

Mark is on the board and he's trying really hard to figure all this out.  Meanwhile, I have yet to hear back from the software board guy who offered to help fix things.

Well, I'm going to presume we are screwed for this evening.  I'm sorry.  This guy who offered help keeps sending messages through the software board, but never gets to me directly even though I've asked him to four times - plus he never says how we'll proceed.  I've just spent another fifty bucks (on top of what I spent this morning to do the upgrade) to become a Charter Member of the software site, and I've opened a ticket outlining our problems and made it a priority ticket - we'll see how fast they get back to me.

Just heard from Mr. Fix-It.  He's on gmail, so we're going to start attempting to fix the various problems.

I'm now at the mercy of waiting for Mr. Fix-It, because I think Mark has done everything he can do.  I've e-mailed Mr. Fix-It twice via gmail and have heard nothing in return.  This is so maddening.

I can see you all.  I'm presuming you're reading the posts.  Mr. Bakalor has to go out for the evening, so unless Mr. Fix-It finally gets hold of me, there's nothing more to be done.  Oh, I could tell you the story of The Randy Vicar and The Creepy Upgrade, but this is a family site.

I'm singing that great song by the Gershwins:

There's a posting that I'm longing to see
Yes, two or three
Nice it would be
Someone to post after me.
