Well, you've read the notes, the notes were very long, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently creating a new username - cows2.

I think we should have about six hundred postings today, don't you?

BK...after you locked yesterday's day of posts, I noticed that I still have a Delete button for my posts.  That's interesting.

I'm sure there are lots of weirdnesses - make a list and e-mail them as you find them, so I can add them to my list.

Are those with new usernames getting the "new" icon when there are new posts?

I get the "new" icon on the list of days...on the Daily Discussions page, but not within a day of posts.

Also, the calendar on the old board is still accessible.

So you're not getting the "new" icon - can you please check the profile preferences and see if there's something there to tick, otherwise add it to your list.

I see Dear Reader Laura but I know she can't post until she comes up with a new username, that is until the old usernames are once again usable.

Now Laura should be able to post to her heart's content.  Read yesterday's posts, Laura, for tips on how to use your profile settings so the board looks and acts like you're used to.

Very slow posting - but that seems to be the norm for some reason at this hour - usually that way every night at this time.

Well, I'm exhausted so I must to bed.  I'm sure I'll be up nice and early to see what's what with the board.

Oh, poop!  (That's poop spelled backwards.)  I just realized that, with the new e-mail address required, any notification that I've recieved a personal message will show up there and not where I belong, which is here.

What happened yesterday.  Well, I went to work.

I did all my billing clerk first day of the week stuff.

And I loaned Jeff, from the Deli, Torchwood Season One.  Jeff is an absolutely marvelous person of the homosexual persuasion - in this town, that's not all that unusual - who for some bizarre reason doesn't have cable TV where he lives.  Instead, he reads a lot, and watches DVDs a lot.  Which makes for a marvelous combination, for him.

Anyway, Jeff decided that John Barrowman, the lead actor in Torchwood, is absolutely dreamy (a word he also applies to Colin Ferguson of EUReKA), and wanted to borrow the discs for the first season.  I told him it would be much better if he first watched Doctor Who, seasons one and two, since that explains Barrowman's character and sets up the spinoff series.  He was suspicious, at first, but agreed.

And he's fallen in love with the show!  I had a hunch he would.

So, yesterday, since he's finished with Series One and Two of Doctor Who, I loaned him Torchwood, Series One.  He was thrilled.

But Niki, his boss at the Deli, was in the room, and wanted to know what was going on.

Niki, it turns out, was very much a Doctor Who fan back in the days that Peter Davison was playing the Doctor.  (Guess who she thinks is dreamy!)  While she'd heard Debbie and myself discussing the new, revived series (Debbie being another clerk who is now addicted to the show, thanks to me!), but for some reason it hadn't sunk in with Niki that the show had been revived.

So, Jeff started insisting that Niki watch the new stuff.  And I told her that yes, it really is that good.

Today I'll be loaning her the discs for the first series.

Doctor Who - taking over the Rehoboth Beach Super Giant, one associate at a time!  Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!!!

And then I came home, and we had really thick pork chops for dinner, which I roasted in the oven so they were nice and tender, and then we watched Pushing Daisies, which is so not the sequel to Please Don't Eat the Daisies, and then I went to bed.  The end.

You have to tick the box in your profile that defaults to keeping you in the subject. I forget how its listed but its relatively straightforward when you see it - heck, I figured it out!

It appears that you can see the avatars and post totals even if you are not logged in, which certainly didn't used to be the case.
