Oh, one other thing--I can't see who is on line.  How do I fix that?

This bugs me too. So far the only thing i have figured out is if you go here:

http://www.haineshisway.com/smf/

Look at the very bottom. It says "users online" and you can see who is online.

I do hope we can get it fixed so that we can see it while we post on the discussions page. I know it's something small. But it's a feature i've noticed i miss a lot.

Good morning, all! I got caught up in reading the new Stephen Schwartz book and got to bed after 1. I'm a bit draggy this morning.

DRvixmom, the Pepperidge Farm orange cranberry bread is divoon! I see there are several other new breads in this series as well, but it's great for breakfast with a bit of low-fat butter substitute.  I think li'l Mikey would like it as well.

Today, back to NYPL and some editorial work here, mostly on THE MOST HAPPY FELLA.

TOD:
   DVD:  In Bruges, several operas
CD:  Sarasate Carmen Fantasie, Offenbach's Christopher Columbus, Guy Haines, Delibes Sylvia
VCR:  short documentaries about military social customs

In that case, are you wearing this getup?

Maybe in your dreams. I haven't lost that much weight.

I was wondering how long it would take someone to react to "draggy." I could set my watch by you.

Don't know about the Marquee but to stop the warning

Go into your Profile and click Look and Layout Preferences. After that click the box next to

   Show board descriptions inside boards.
Show child boards on every page inside boards, not just the first.
   Don't show users' avatars.
   Don't show users' signatures.
Return to topics after posting by default.
X Don't warn on new replies made while posting.
Show most recent posts at the top.
Show most recent personal messages at top.

That will stop the warning

DR Dan (the Man) - No, I haven't!  I have, on occasion, READ the HHW board from the Kindle, but I don't think I tried to post.

VERY VERY happy with the Kindle, by the way, but mainly as a book reader.  Don't necessarily recommend it for the extras, such as web browsing.

I love it as a book reader, also!  I had held off on getting one but I've been so glad that I finally took the plunge and got myself one.

But the web browser has come in handy many times for me (especially during a few nighttime blackouts my neighborhood experienced during the summer.)

TOD

I probably will watch the extras on Daredevil Director's cut. It is a better film, I didn't like the version that played the theaters. All action no character development.

The director's cut makes for a much better film. I don't have the Blu-ray yet (Fox wants too much money for their catalog titles), but when it comes up in some kind of sales venue, I'll likely replace my DVD which I bought it a cutout bin for $4.

VHS - The Leather Boys with Colin Campbell, Rita Tushingham, and Dudley Sutton

I've had the DVD on my to-watch shelf for years. I first saw the film on VHS and really enjoyed it, but for some reason I have never gotten around to watching the DVD. Some day perhaps. . . .
