Good Afternoon!
I ended up taking quite a few detours on my walk up from Madison Square Park to MoMA. I had never really checked out the Murray Hill neighborhood before, so I did some walking around around there, and I finally came across the "new" Second Avenue Deli - which is now on Third Avenue. (Although, actually, it's on 33rd Street.)
I ended up documenting my "path" with my iPhone camera as well as my regular camera. One of the sites I came across was this:
There was some old kitchen equipment on the sidewalk outside an Indian restaurant, so, I just taking some pictures. Well, after taking a few close-ups of the equipment, a worker started yelling over - well, at me. "What's up? What's with the picture taking?" "Can you believe this guy?" I just turned to him with a blank face, but I could tell that he was getting rather upset, so I started to leave, while mumbling something like, "Oh, I just think it's intersting, artistic". A few steps later, I heard some neighbors talking... It turned out the restaurant had had a bad kitchen fire, and they were in the process of gutting the place and taking out the damaged appliances. -Oh... Spoo
*But I do think it's a cool picture.
