Well, you've read the notes, the notes and fruit are quits, and now it is time for you to post until the fruity cows come home.

DR Jennifer -  I read Stephanie Meyer's Twighlight quartet recently.  It's certainly not great literature, but it was entertaining in an angsty sort of way.

Dear Larry is correct,

Enter Laughing

has been extended so I don't have to rush to see it this week. I may just see it this week anyway but now I know I have a day or two extra.

It looks like I will have to use a Playbill discount for The Seagull. It was on TDF until it opened to rapturous reviews. Now it's off TDF. I will continue to check but I can also go to TKTS. It's selling well, but not well enough to sell out. I hear great things about the show and I haven't seen Seagull since probably my college years.

Good morning, all! I'm still thinking about last night's Jones & Schmidt event and how lovely it was. I've got a long phone call this morning with my copyist on the HIUCK FINN scores to go over the last two movements; we got through the first two yesterday, and I'd like to finish the piece today.

DR George, I liked the photos from your weekend trip, and I agree with you that the photo of DRs edisauris, Ben, Jose, and me is quite a good photo of all of us. I usually hate the thought of a camera coming near my mug, but our DR Jose is a wizard.

TOD:  my neighbor Alice introduced me to a great sandwich, which is essentially scrambled egg on heavy bread with watercress, sprouts and ranch dressing; very tasty.  When I wasin grade school my favorite sandwich was my mom's meatloaf on Wonder Bread.

BK -

You might consider one of these for your jogs - the cheap version holds only 20 seconds, but you can pay extra for ones with more time.

I got them as stocking stuffers for the Grandlads, and they do work!

ASSOCIATED PRESS

Quote
LONG BEACH, Calif.  —  A Long Beach mother who drove her teenage son and his friends to a fatal fight with a rival gang has been convicted of second-degree murder.

A Los Angeles County Superior Court jury returned the verdict against 31-year-old Eva Daley on Monday.

Her 17-year-old co-defendant, Heriberto Garcia, was charged as an adult and convicted of second-degree murder for the June 2007 stabbing death of 13-year-old Jose Cano.

The jury found true special allegations that the defendants committed the crime for the benefit of a criminal gang.

Gee - right out of an episode of Law & Order

Best sandwich I ever ate was in Paris.  It was very simple:

Wonderful brie on a fresh baguette.   :)

Have you tried a French cemetery?

You mean a quick trick behind a tombstone, a sandwich, or a Bistro?

Last night DR JRand stated:

Quote
I watched TWENTIETH CENTURY on TCM tonight.  I had never seen it, and it was very funny.  John Barrymore and Carole Lombard were terrific as were all the supporting players....

I watched and enjoyed it, too.  The only problem I had was that I was constantly singing the songs of ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY throughout the movie.

It was kind of fun to hear that there were whole lines in the musical that are lifted from the movie.

Home Made:  Grilled cheese sandwich, made with Alpine Lace low-fat american with one slice of either sharp cheddar or swiss or provolone in the middle on freshly sliced sourdough bread griddled in the frying pan.

Lunch Time Fave:  @ Au Bon Pan--smoked turkey and cheddar on ciabatta bread with romaine lettuce, red onions and jalapeno mayo.

All Time Fave:  the Pramanti Brothers pastrami sandwich in Pittsburgh PA--pastrami and cheese topped with french fries and cole slaw and grilled--damn they were good!
