Holy smokes - one dealer just took 500 copies of the Elmer.  That means that with other dealer commitments there are now less than 400 left.

Well, I am leaving in a few minutes to host my pre-reunion get-together.  At the moment I just want to get it over with it.  I want all of the guests to show up, chip in on the pizza ($240.00 pre-ordered), and then I don't care what they do.

I also liked the policewoman.

That was Gretchen Mol.  Didn't she play Betty Page in a movie?

This is my friend Tony.  We sing at the same church and the same synagogue.  Since choir practice is Thursday night, we spent the day with each other yesterday from 8:30 AM until 9:15 PM.

But did you ever get to rehearsal?

Thanks, Coleslaw, but didn't you forget to give me Tony's phone number?

Watching a motion picture and keeping quiet - I really need to have a voice tomorrow.  On top of everything, my allergies began bothering me - I suppose this all could be allergy related - got some Allavert, and have some Mucinex, and that will be my pre-bedtime cocktail - my ENT man's cure-all for throat problems.

Okay, somebody really needs to tell me what in tarnation is going on here.  No postings for an hour, no one in the jernt but me and Laura - this is really going to lead to a bitch-slapping from here to eternity and hell and back.

A very quiet evening around here. Yes, I was busy viewing stuff: some for work and some for fun, but the phone didn't ring once, and that's rare on a Friday night.

I did watch five more episodes of CSI. I thought immediately about DR Jane during one of the episodes that had to do with dog fighting. Unlike the BONES episode that showed nothing but a couple of photographs, the CSI episode showed the actual fight. Of course, it was all done with quick cuts, raucous dog fighting sounds on the track, etc. but it was a visceral scene, one that would be very upsetting to those who are bothered even with staged combat like that.

I watched tonight's GHOST WHISPERER. Not one of the more fascinating episodes, I didn't think. I didn't get very engaged with these spoiled grown-ups who used to torment Melinda in high school.

LIFE was another good episode, however. Nice to see Robin Weigert back for a guest appearance (she played the boss last season and was replaced by Donel Logue this season). I guessed the murderer pretty easily, but there was a lot more going on than the murder mystery, and it was all rather fascinating.

I've finished one motion picture on DVD, and will now start another.  I also went out and bought some diet Snapple things and some melon balls.

Do you have melon balls?

(almost a reference to the Sugar babies "Do you have popcorn balls" bit)

Does this mean that you will be having pain perdu for breakfast tomorrow morning?  Or duck confit for tomorrow's dinner?
