On HBO-HD tonight is the paycable premiere of ANTONEMENT. I'd like to record it, but since I still have THE BRAVE ONE on there, and my DVR space is running out, I'll have to get a later broadcast of ANTONEMENT.

Sorry you're under the weather, too, DR singdaw. Seems like something's in the air. My friend Jeff has been sick all week.

When I got my first Atari computer, I really did think that it would only be used for writing and work related projects. However, the Atari had a game cartridge slot that made games SO tempting, so before long I had Space Invaders, Dig-Dug, Ms. Pac-Man, and Donkey Kong, all of which I played incessantly. I also played a lot of those Infocom text-related mysteries like DEADLINE and BALLYHOO.

Now, with very limited amounts of time, I may play Spider Solitaire or Mah Jongg that came with my Vista software on this "new" computer while I'm in between weightlifting sets, but otherwise, I have no time to play computer games.

Wae-Ling Goldstein is also sick. So I'm here with no one to play with today.

I have two prescriptions I need to pick up this morning, so I guess I'll walk down to 68th Street and then walk back, stopping at the market. My walk is planned and now all I need to do is begin it.

I guess I'll head down now to check the mail (the last delivery until Tuesday - grrrrrrrrrrrr) and then get started on lunch preparation.

Saturday morning greetings!  I have an unusual phenomenom - a 2-day weekend.  I moved my day off next week to Friday instead of Monday so that I only have to take 2 vacation days for the GA wedding next weekend.  Just returned from having my hair cut - trimmed, actually, since I'm letting it grow a bit for a new look.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I think I'll be heading down to Virginia later this afternoon. -I'm still waking up, and just haven't done any sort of prep or packing for the trip home.  In any case, if I find myself getting overwhelmed over the next few hours trying to get things in order, I can always head down tomorrow morning.

Good morning, good day, how are you this beautiful day?  I am up, congested, groggy, stuffed up, but alive, but alive, but alive.  As to the voice, to early to tell, but there's sound coming out - not much, but something.  Hopefully after the long jog and some EmergenC in hot water things will loosen up, throat-wise.  I may have them get me a mic if it doesn't improve by noon.

DR elmore - Bolt Bus has yet to start their NYC<->Richmond service.  However, Eastern Bus - which is one of the ''upscale" "Chinatown busses" has daily departures, and they're only $35 each way, or $60 round-trip.

bk - Since it appears that you're sick - a.k.a. have a cold - eating some food would also be a good thing.  Your body needs nutrients right now, and it also needs "stuff" to help all those meds get into your system and not hit your empty stomach all at the same time.

*And, yes, the "creeping crud" is going around right now.  There were a lot of understudies and swings on this past week.  I think the almost-sudden onset of Fall last weekend may have had something to do with that.  I'm just glad that my cold only lasted about three days.  I'm still a little sniffly right now, but I can tell that's just due to my usual Fall allergies - molds get to me more than pollen does.

I had lots of food in me when I did the cocktail last night.  Today, I don't put any meds in me before the show.  Just the EmergenC in hot water, and directly after with a meal I'll do an Allavert.  No more Coldeze, either, just Ricola.

DR TCB - It sounds like your pre-reunion gathering was what a "reunion" should be, a time to celebrate and remember.

I think I've learned to never announce on a Friday - while orders are coming in steadily, it's not like it would have been if it were a Monday or Tuesday.  In fact, I think we'd be sold out had I announced on a Monday or Tuesday.  The reason I didn't is because another label is announcing two titles on Monday - and it just gets to be too much for people - every single week there's two or three of these limited edition CDs coming out, and, as you know, the economy is not so hot, which is one of the reasons I lowered the price on the CD.  Still, in less than twenty-four hours we have less than 300 left, so that's not bad.  And I suspect that a lot of people are simply buying through the online stores - they're more comfortable doing that, even though if they really wanted to be supportive to the label doing these things, they'd order directly from us.  But sometimes they're buying other titles and they save on the shipping, so whatever works is fine by me.

The skies are blue and the sun is shining, but it's windy (don't like jogging when it's windy unless the wind is at my back) and not sure how much heat is in the sun, since it's quite chilly in the home environment.

If I can get some energy, I'll try to start the long jog by nine-thirty, if not, ten.

Wow, what a change in the weather! It has been hot for so long. Today it is clear, windy, and very cool! The windows are all open; the first time since April.

Computer games are really not my thing.

If I'm bored, I may play a little computer solitaire or Collapse, but that's about it.

I was never an arcade person.  I much preferred going to a movie.
