DR Cillaliz - I do know that the "wait and see" approach is the standard procedure, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. ;)

Yeah, I know, I didn't like it either, just trying to be supportive :)

My Dad just called and he's now on his way back to the hospital. I'm glad he went ahead and took a longer break than he had planned - he went shoppng at Lowe's. :). Once he gets here, I'll head out to get some dinner - I am not eating dinner here at hospital! - and I still may try to catch a movie tonight. And get some ice cream, of course.

One really nice thing about tonight is that since the current hospital census is low, the other bed in my Mom's room is free. So my Dad will be able to spend the night here in the bed next to my Mom's tonight.

That is very nice.

Much appreciated.

*Although, I'm glad I was here earlier to clarify some of the answers my Mom was giving to her doctor. There was one answer she gave which might have postponed her surgery for a day or two. I know that I have a tendency to mumble, but at least  my mumbling is direct. ;)

Today would have been my dear mother in-law's 87th birthday.  She was very, very good to me.

It's always a double scoop at Bev's. -The single scoops are very generous.

Just watched an interesting movie I'd TIVOd.  I am so logey and drippy, it's nauseating.  But it did me good to stay in today and relax.

I think the trailer for The Secret Life of Bees looks good. I'm looking forward to seeing it.   Oh! It opens on Friday. Good. I loved the book

I'm thinking I need something sweet.  Yesterday, because I'd only eaten ham and eggs and an English muffin all day, I splurged and had a nice candy bar last night at the movie.  Since I only ate two tuna sandwiches (with all ingredients about 850 calories), I'm thinking I can afford something sweet this evening.  I do like those 100 calorie Skinny Cow ice cream bars - yes, that might just be the ticket.

I am enjoying some homemade oatmeal cookies.   I'm getting my oatmeal and don't have to wash the bowl....well I did wash the mixing bowl, but that was yesterday.

I just watched the trailer, it does look good. :)  It seems to have captured the book well.

That book was a real fav with my group.  If I weren't going to GA for a wedding this weekend, I'd get them together to see the movie.

It was a favorite with our group as well.  If I didn't think Keith would enjoy the movie I would suggest the same.

Maybe you didn't see it, but the story about the Bacharach concert was on Playbill about two weeks ago.

I had no idea they'd run anywhere but Playbill - so only talkin broadway didn't run it?  Have I got that right?  Because I will have stern words with Miss Miner about it if that's so.

I got some Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia frozen yogurt - very diet friendly and low fat grams and I think it will really hit the spot and cheer my weary bones right up.

Good Evening!

Greetings from Joe's Inn where I am finally going to have some dinner: a grilled chicken sub (with grilled onions - Yum!).

*Of course, since time was of the essence, I've already had dessert. ;D
