Funeral March from Piano Sonata

Key? Composer?

It doesn't say ...

Most like the Piano Sonata, No. 2, in B-Flat Minor (otherwise known as the "Funeral March" Sonata) by Frederic Chopin.

-Do they at least mention who the pianist is?  Or is it an orchestral transcription?

Zero, zip, nadda -- it's just one of those generic Halloween CDs you buy in the Halloween section at Walgreen's, Wal-Mart, etc.

Gloom and doom.  Doom and gloom

Was that a vocal or an instrumental?

A cantata.

"Ode To My Nose" (a.k.a. "The Mucous Within") by Meister Ronaldo von Snarkenstein

(tee-hee-hee-heee!) That's a good one (don't forget his middle initial) Meister Ronaldo P. von Snarkenstein

Based on DR Miss Karen's post, I'd say DR JoseSPiano's guess is confirmed.

DR Miss Karen - I believe you intended this:

How dare you interrupt my Halloween song frenzy, DR RP!

News Flash:  It ain't "Halloween".  Yet.

sNark attack! (The Jaws Theme is on there ...) BUT, it's never too soon to start getting in the spirit -- get it, spirit! (ghost, goblin, apparition, specter -- insert evil laugh)

I get it...you're in(to) the spirit(s)....again!

Whatever do you mean, sir?  *Hic*

See, now this is why I'm often E and T -- I'm just gonna check in for a few minutes and then I get lured in and spend hours when I only have minutes to spare. Now, I really must be off to the theatre. Adieu!

DR JMK, are you doing anything tonight?  Shalom Auslander will be speaking at Powell's tonight-7:30.  Wish I could go.  I just finished reading his memoir "Foreskin's Lament", a strange, funny, sad, interesting memoir.  Check it out.

I'm listening to the Portland band Smegma instead.  (A very, very, very inside joke that absolutely no one will understand I'm quite sure).

An actual proto-punk band one of whose members (so to speak) was one of my first recording engineers back in the day.
