Back from a much too long day.  Had a good band rehearsal, dropped images to my designer, had a meeting at the theater, and am finally home and must now eat my dinner.

Had some small chicken tenders from Gelson's, along with a couple of egg rolls from their deli - their chicken tenders, which used to be quite nice-sized, are now more like chicken nuggets.  Their egg rolls are tasty.  Earlier at rehearsal, Kevin ordered a pizza for everyone from a place I'd always wanted to try called Dino's on Burbank Blvd.  Well, it was simply one of the best slices of pizza I've ever eaten.  Just perfection.  And happily, they'd cut the slices into tiny slivers, about a third of the size of a normal slice.  So, I just had one little sliver, but boy did it hit the spot.  I'll be going back there very soon indeed.

I watched two complete films tonight and finshed a third one. I am enjoying all of the different films in the Rialto set, but I'll be glad to move to other things soon.

Both films from the box featured surreal sequences. I wonder if they were put together back-to-back in the box for that reason?

Anyway, I began with THE DISCREET CHARM OF THE BOURGEOISIE. I don't think I had ever seen this film all the way through but only in bits and pieces over the years. I think it's too long, and I got tired of the meal interruptions before it was over, but it is very funny in places (the Actor's Nightmare sequence is one for the books). How funny these folks are so snooty about their class and yet they're DRUG DEALERS. Great satire at work.

As a break from reviewing, I watched the rest of FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE on Blu-ray. I can only hope that the other James Bond features on Blu-ray look as good or better than this one. It was glorious! When I finally get to the next one, it'll be THUNDERBALL which I watched on sDVD just a month or two ago.

Yes, lovely photos all around.

I watched the 12th episode of MAD MEN on On Demand....my oh my.....everything is going to hell for just about everybody.....and Anna give's Dick a tarot reading using a nice Celtic card spread.

I am going to bite the bullet and watch as much of SNL as I can to see Mr John Hamm....I am not sure that I can stay the course with the show.

TCM had both Strait Jacket and Homicidal on the schedule tonight......

I also watched the 30-minute "making of" documentary on the disc. I had no idea the film was so fraught with troubles. I enjoyed Peter Hunt's stories of working in the editing room to get the picture in some kind of shape for release. How ironic that many critics place it at the very top of the Bond pictures when so many things went wrong.

I loved all of the Dick Whitman scenes in the past and "present" in this episode. And the sale of the business without Don there is perilous. Can't wait to see how this all wraps up in the final episode of the season.

It would be wonderful not to have to work on a Saturday night, but work is what I've been doing, non-stop.  But have now finished with the track titles and the credits, and all I need to do now is write the announcement blurb and get the Kritzerland site gal the sound samples.
