I've already watched one motion picture, and I've begun a second, but I'm taking a break.  Tomorrow, two exceptional DVD sets will be here - the Gregory Peck and the Budd Boetticher - that will be some fine viewing.

Any other DR watching "SNL's Presidential Bash"?  It's an interesting mix of clips from past shows, as well as some "live" updates.  Very interesting.

Yes, DR Jose, I'm watching the SNL bash.  I'm not  sure it's worth staying up later than I should on a "school night," but I'm afraid of missing something everybody will be talking about tomorrow.

Go to bed, get some sleep.  I don't there will truly be anything "water cooler worthy" tonight... Unless one of the presidential candidates happens to make a surprise appearance, and something tells me that's not going to happen.  *But it is nice to see how they've edited down some of the previous skits - no weak endings.

Good evening all.  We have returned from Coldstone where we enjoyed delicious ice cream with our dear cyber-dad TCB.  He met our DS Toby and can attest that Toby is a real baby and not something I made up to get out of working for a few months.  It was wonderful to see him and we talked and laughed and laughed some more.  He had to leave early, though, to attend to his friend Stan again.  We send healing vibes to Stan.

Only one more day and this election will be over, and I will start answering the phone again.

Cindy McCain didn't call, but we did get a call from the newspaper service asking if we got our NY Times this past weekend.

I should have thought FJL would have been a major contributor to the story.  Certain types around here I knew wouldn't participate because that is their nature, but FJL has so much fun with language that he'd be a natural at this stuff.

It's so weird when it gets dark so early - it seems like it's about ten o'clock already and it's only seven-fifteen.

It is weird. When I go downstairs now after my afternoon at the computer, it's quite dark in the back portions of my house and I have to rememeber to start turning on a light before I head upstairs in the afternoon.

I finished the bonuses on the SABRINA disc. My goodness, Paramount placed that "Paramount in the 50s" documentary on every one of these releases. Of course, they're trying to sell DVDs with it since every movie mentioned has been released on DVD before.

Then, I watched the movie SABRINA. Gorgeous transfer even if, once again, Paramount framed it 4:3 instead at 1.75:1. And even with Bogie being somewhat miscast (Cary Grant had signed to play it  but dropped out a week before shooting started), it's still one of the great romantic comedies.

Does anyone here use openoffice.org for word processing etc?  It's free and is supposed to work with any file. I'm trying it for my WIND because I have no interest in buying Microsoft Office again.  I tried a couple of my current keys, but they don't work. I think I've already used them in 3 computers.

Next, I watched last night's DEXTER. Good episode, but I have no idea where this is all headed. No, it's not as mesmerizing as last season, but it's plenty good enough.

To finish up my evening's viewing, I watched FOR YOUR EYES ONLY on Blu-ray. I only got about an hour watched since I needed to come upstairs and finish writing up what I wanted to say about SABRINA, but maybe there will be time tomorrow to finish it since none of my Tuesday TV will be on anyway.

Bk, when I read it in the notes, I thought that too, since I enjoy short stories - but I had so much fun just reading it and everything I was coming up with wasn't matching what was there.  :(

Also, they turned off our electric from 10 this morning into early afternoon (this was some routine planned maintenance), so i missed getting in the rhythm of the story while it was really cooking.

Well, my friend, Stan, is back in the hospital.  Well, actually he is, at the moment, still in ER, but will be admitted as soon as a bed opens up in ICU.  Tonight he was pretty incoherent.  I was afraid that he had a stroke this afternoon, but they said he was dehydrated, his blood pressure was 64 / 45 and his blood sugar was 269; all of which could make a person be incoherent.

It makes it tough to go out of town tomorrow, leaving him alone.
