THE LADY EVE is equally great. I really love it, too. I think I do have a copy of it, however.

Heading down to bed now. I'll have a busy day ahead of me with reviewing chores tomorrow.

Good night!

Had a mostly enjoyable evening of program watching.

I began by finishing the season finale of MAD MEN. My goodness, even a classy show like this has its own kind of cliffhangers. I'm so glad the show was renewed for another season.

...And if the "rumors" are true about how next season will start, well....  Cool!!

*There's a whole "Mad Men" community on "Twitter".  I think I'm "following" all of them - including the official AMC people.  It's been lots of fun reading the "in character" responses of everyone, and AMCNews has even given advance notice of some of the news items and articles on their website.

HEROES had one of those going back 12-18 months to catch us up on events we hadn't seen yet involving some new characters and some old favorites. I always like those episodes, and this was no different.

...And then there was this in today's NY Times:

Oh...  And the 25th Anniversary DVD of "Yentl" will be released February 3, 2009.  Just in case you wanted to know that.  ;)

Deep Discount.com has now sent me three e-mails about their "big sale" and I have never ordered anything from them.  What would happen if I did?

Then you might get a phone call giving you a Discount Code like I just did.

I'm back from the Alex and Most Happy Fella, about which more in a little while.  I shipped out nine hundred CDs and I only have a few priority boxes sitting here, which will go out Wednesday morning, since I gather there's no mail Tuesday.  It got pretty scary for a minute when I didn't think I had enough discs.  As it is, I have to short an eBay speculator by fifty discs - I warned him that might happen, though.  When all was said and done and done and said, I have about twenty CDs left, which I keep for emergencies/lost CDs, etc.

I never had a minute to eat anything other than my eggs this morning, so I stopped at Gelson's.  The salad bar was open, so I got a little seafood salad and some cucumber roll - not really enough food, but that it satisfied my extreme hunger.

I'll have to ask Woody when he's back from work - much later (after 11pm) - I'm taking him to Taco Bell to pick-up dinner.

Taco Bell + DR SWW - DOES NOT COMPUTE!!?!?!?!?!?!?

Well, desparate times call for desperate measures.

11PM is a little late to start cooking a meal.
There are no left-overs to re-heat.
Summer resort towns offer little off-season late-night dining opportunities.

And, truth to tell, TACO BELL is pretty good bang-for-the-buck (and I can get a Caramel Apple Empanada!)

(And a side of Pintos and Cheese to go with my Gorditas Supreme)

der Brucer

What a coinkydink!  I actually went to Taco Bell too after rehearsal tonight.  I had the 79˘ cheese roll-up, the 89˘ cheesy double beef burrito and the 99˘ bean burrito.  I almost ordered the empanada, but I didn't.  It was all very good and only a total of $2.15 (with tax). :D
