I enjoyed the movie YENTL. I am not sure I would ever want to own it, but I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

I was lucky to see an outstanding production of it during the 1970s at Pittsburgh's Civic Light Opera. I liked it so much that I saw that production three times in the course of the week it was playing.

For some reason, my DVR did not record THE CLOSER, so I pulled FUNNY FACE off the shelf and watched about 45 minutes of it. The most recent DVD release is really beautiful and a huge step up from the original DVD.

Then I watched WALL-E. I had not seen it in theaters. It never came to my local theater a few blocks from my house, and I didn't drive across town to see it.

Brilliant, imaginative movie. No one really does this kind of original, unusual CGI animated films like Pixar. KUNG FU PANDA which I watched Saturday night was fun, beautifully animated, but the story was rather prosaic.

WALL-E's story was unlike anything I've ever seen before, the animation was terrific, and that sense of timing with visual jokes just sublime.

I got the special features from the first disc watched, but the second Blu-ray disc has two documentaries that are over an hour each, so I saved them for tonight. I did get shorter special features like the deleted scenes watched.

I agree, Matt. It was nice to see a version that wasn't all washed out. "Think Pink" should be pink!!!!!!

He was quite a presence on stage as well. At the opening night party, which the audiences were always invited to, he was charming, modest and sexy as hell. You would have loved his "Joey, Joey, Joey."

When my ancient kitty passed on, I spent the day doing ritualistic things to memorialize him. (My DH said I would make a good Egyptian!) I hope it was comforting to you and provided you with some closure.
