Well, you've read the notes, the notes were complete, and now it is time for you to post until the complete cows come home, which will be a complete feat and feet of legerdemain.

Last night, I thought that I was ushering for the new Warren Miller movie at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts, but it turns out that I actually was signed up to work concessions.  Everything worked out fine.  It was a fun evening, even though I only saw about five minutes of the movie...out of two performances!  We kept the concessions open most of the time and since I was there for two shows, there was no need to break everything down and clean up between the two shows.  It flowed very smoothly, although we did run out of most of the beer that we had!  Between the two shows, we sold about 250 beers (that's a lot!).  I don't know how much wine we sold, but we also sold almost all eight dozen cookies.  But the best part was that we split the tips!  For the two shows, I got $27!! ;D I LOVE it when that happens. ;) And it's a nice way to end an evening of FIVE AND A HALF HOURS of standing!  The only time I really got to sit down was when I went to the bathroom (I know, TMI), but that was the kind of evening it was.  The audience members were very friendly and no one got too drunk or became a problem.  A good time was had by all.

Today is going to be another long day, just not as long as yesterday.  I need to go to work for a few hours, assuming that I can get my butt out of bed and to work in time to then go to rehearsal for four or four and a half hours, after which I need to go to my sister's house for some sort of furniture move, and then it's off to my parents' house for some sort of furniture assemblage and possible light fixture swappage.

Yup...it's going to be a long day.  A lot longer if I don't get to bed, so I'm outta here.

Sit down John, sit down!

The usually harsh John Simon of Bloomberg surprises with: "A show's claim to offer 'something for everyone' usually signals disaster: the lowest common denominator and the antithesis of art. Well, for once, the exception proves true: 'Billy Elliot' ... really does have something for everyone, and that something is, gloriously, art."

Unpleasant telephone call vibes for Mr BK.

Will there be a drowsy chaperone there, DR SINGDAW?

I also found the show very moving and was wiping away tears. I think it is one of the most moving/sad episodes the show has ever done.  But i was actually thinking that melinda would just have agreed to let him stay for a while, and they would have worked on cases together. I am not sure how i feel about what happened. It was weird (and will people even see jim's face, or will just melinda see jim). Does that mean everytime they show it from anyone else's point of view that they will have to go back and forth between david conrad and other guy? I"m not sure i like that. And does "jim" just have amnesia. Or will it be like melinda and new guy having to fall in love again? It was definitely interesting. Although i wonder how much of the show will now be focused on this. And how will it mix with the ghost storylines. Will this new guy be in on it?

Hi folks,

Sorry I didn't post last night.   I was very tired when I got home from work.

I am so very glad to hear the good news about Dear, Dear, Dear Vixmom.  I only wish it was even easier and didn't have to be gone thorough at all!

Vibes and prayers to DR TCB's friend.  I'm sure that just having you in the room gave him comfort in ways you will never know.

How neat that you saw yourself in the picture!

There is a pet adoption fair today at the fair grounds.  I am torn about it but I think I will go.

There are so many homeless pets and I feel like I have room for one more--after all I have everything already.   The feed bowl, a tall feeder stand (if it's a big dog   ;)  ) water bowls, 2 leashes, etc.

I think that Sheena would enjoy having some company during the day.  It's a long, lonely day at home.

And I know I won't be able to take any trips anytime in the near future so it's not like I have to worry about paying for 2 dogs in the kennel any time soon.

Shots aren't that much.  And the most expensive thing is the heartworm pills--but that's only every 3 months.
