Hungry. And purry.

No doubt in Sandra's lap which is where she belongs!

I went to a birthday party/BBQ for two friends last night and met some very nice people.  Once everyone got involved watching whatever sport was on TV (football, I think), I played with the kids (a 4 year old and a 2 year old), but mostly I got to sit on the floor and visit with two very sweet dogs.    This party was out in the middle of nowhere (to me anyway), but it was a lovely evening.  Beautiful temperatures .... and dogs.  What more could you want?

Sunday morning greetings!  DH Richard's cough is still bothersome, so we're both skipping church for the second week in a row.  He's still asleep in the recliner and I'm enjoying some quiet coffee/computer time.

I'm going to lunch and to a knitting fair with a friend from work today.

Vibes to BK for a non-annoying (or non-existent) phone call!

Well, today I get to hear about how everything went last week while most of the people-in-charge were out of town at the conference.

Let's see, DD SHEENA has a new turkey friend to play with.

DR DAKOTA CELT is a confirmed Flatt & Scruggs fan.

MR BK's telephone call didn't come.

DR SINGDAW attended a fine wedding ceremony yesterday....but took no pictures.

And we had a past due anniversary notice.

Well...my favorite things on HHW besides the very funny random things that suddenly pop up - are all the photos:  nature, pets, baby, and family.....

I also like reading all about the theatre and film and concerts everyone sees and likes or doesn't!

And of course our Tony and Academy Awards nights - both of which are more fun than any actual PARTY for either event I ever attended.

The temperature was in the mid 30's today, but the way everyone was bundled up in coats, hats, mufflers, and gloves, I thought it must be at least in the teens!

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I'm actually wide awake after getting only about three hours of sleep.

After "SNL", two of the roomies wanted to watch a movie, "The Strangers".  It was an OK thriller, terror, horror movie.  Alas, the music scoring was done a little too well, so none of the "shocks" really shocked me.  -And the ending was a big question mark for me - but, apparently, it was meant to be that way.  -However, the leading man was very attractive.  ;)

Then Jim came home from his party, and since he had missed "SNL", we watched some of the skits courtesy of the "DVR".  At that point, everyone in the apartment was wide awake (again), myself included, so we cleared an "Ellen" or two and a "Chelsea Lately" off the DVR too.  Then as I was getting ready for bed, I decided to listen to the OCR of Three Guys Naked from the Waist Down - which I don't think I had listened to since I had worked on a production oh so many years ago.  Then I was in the mood for some Mozart... Then some Debussy... The WQXR was playing some really interesting piano music...

But, again... I'm up, I'm up....

DR George - If you happen to stagedoor this afternoon for The Drowsy Chaperone, please give my best to Peter Riopelle.  He and his (twin) brother are playing the twins. :)

*And I think the tour - at least the Equity portion of it - closes down this weekend too - or possibly next weekend.

In other news...

Since I'm already up and about... And since it looks like a glorious Fall day outside.. I think I'm going to go ahead and get ready for the rest of my day.  This coming week is going to consist of a lot of "inside time", so might as well take advantage of the sunshine.

Good Morning!

True to the forecast, our balmy Saturday turned into a cold (but beautifully clear) Sunday. The heat has popped on a couple of times this morning, but the sky is cloudless and simply breathtaking.

I will be hunkering down with more STAR TREK episodes this afternoon. Since I've only watched 8 of them, there are 16 more to go plus an entire disc of bonus features, so I don't anticipate finishing the set until Tuesday night.

I'll likely watch THE SHIELD while I cook and eat lunch. I also still have SMALLVILLE on the DVR that I haven't gotten to yet.

I guess he'll just have to settle for the weekly Presidential addresses on YouTube:
