the test very easy - just a lot of waiting - I got to the facility about 15 minutes early so I could fill in paperwork but they had it all pre-done since I had had my CT done at its sister facility  2 weeks ago

I had to wait about a half hour befoer I was called and thenI changed into my sweats, and they shot me up with a radioatic dye and then sent me into  a little room to wait.  I had a recliner and a TV and remote and a blanket if - they had only exchanged the quart of barium liquid I had to drink for a bottle of wine it would have been the perfect way to spend the day

I actually ended up falling asleep - the tech  (an absolutely lovely woman)
very gently woke me and led me to the machine -

then I just had to lie down with my head in a "brace" so I couldn't move it side to side - and my arms to my side and they bound me with velcro - so I wouldn't move and started the test

the machine just made a soft humming noice - I had been envisioning the loud banging of an MRI (and I HATE loud noices) so I was pleasantly suprised

I am not sure how long the test took because I fell asleep again

they let me leave with a CD of the test and a promise that my doctor would have it tomorrow

On the drive home I received a call from  oncologist giving me thename if the radiation dr.  I have an appoinmtent with him for this Friday morning -  I had to arrange for a "referral" (for insurance) for 6 Dr visits and 40 radiation treatments---

by time this is done I won't be able to use the computer -  I'll probably make it go all wobbly just by walking into the room

So thrilled to hear that all went well and was so unexpectedly pleasant. (as much as such things can be pleasant)
Sleep well!

One video clip leads to another, then another and then all of a sudden, you're watching a drag show! ;D

bk - If you happen to have the time while you're in NYC, I think it might be worth your time - and $$$ - to take a trip down to J&R to browse their huge(!) CD selection.  While I was there, they were putting out three big bins of those Japanese mini-LP/CDs you like - lots of classic jazz and classical titles.  -All on sale too.

Ooh, can we go together?  I've never been down there.  Let's DO it.

I just found a clip on YouTube of Scott Bakula singing Not While I'm Around at the 93 Kennedy Center Honors Sondheim event.  This makes me happy.  I love Bakula, and I love the song.  The interpretation is interesting, though.  At one point they cut to a shot of Sondheim listening to this, and I'd pay good money to know what was going through his head.  He's smiling, true, but there's a definite thought behind there.

I like Scott Bakula too.  And, coincidentally, I just happened to give a listen to both Three Guys Naked from the Waist Down and Romance Romance.

Now, as for what Mr. Sondheim was thinking, well... To quote Sunday: So many possibilities.

SURE!

I really think you'll fall in love with the place.  *And if you grab one of those "tourist books" from the hotel lobbies, there's usually a $10-off coupon in them for purchases over $50 or $100.  They come in very handy.  *And after Thanksgiving, they tend to put most of the store on sale.  -And, yes, they have DVDs too.

*If you want to get a heard start on your browsing: J&R Music World.

I'm most interested to hear about the quality and transfer of White Dog.

I'm still two discs away from getting to it. Maybe this weekend.

I forgot to mention earlier today that I did speed through AS THE WORLD TURNS today to see the confrontation between Luke and Brian. Very interesting, so I guess the show will rejoin my DVR on season pass for the time being.

I watched all of the rest of the bonus features on the SPY WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD bonus disc. Well done and interesting (and lengthy). There was a 49 minute audio interview with Martin Ritt from 1985 that was really fascinating to listen to.

Ossie Morris does a selected scene audio commentary (39 minutes) that was also grand listening.

Really enjoyed these bonuses.

I enjoyed BONES tonight. Yep, guessed the murderer once we got all of the facts. Still, a fun adventure. I love mysteries set on planes and trains.

Then I watched last night's THE MENTALIST. Not as good an episode as last week. Again, the mystery was pretty easy to solve. I enjoyed it but didn't love it.

And more news from the Rialto...

Revival of American Buffalo, with Leguizamo, Posts Closing Notice

Alas, from the somewhat unanimous reviews for this production, this doesn't come as a surprise.

Ok, I have transferred my photos from that stupid American Greetings photo website to Photobucket. Let's see if t his works better.

Here is my backyard and the tree which is making my life miserable with all the leaves. And only half of them have fallen so far.
