I do know it will be cold in NY - although it IS my intention to bring the warm weather with me. I'll have a nice sweatshirt, and I guess I'll wear a coat if absolutely necessary (whilst jogging), but my legs will have to suffer the cold, I suppose, because I cannot jog in pants, running pants or otherwise. And I may decide not to jog every day anyway.

I prefer to jog in shorts too - even in the cold weather. However, it's the breathing in of the cold air that can really do some damage. -Remember, you'll need your voice.

I second DR Ben's comment. Of course, I'm further south, but it's been 15 degrees colder than usual--it's actually COLDER THAN OUR AVERAGE JANUARY WEATHER.

I'll have to pass on JRAND'S comment to my dentist. I see the dentist regularly--every 6 months--and have always tried to take good care of my teeth. He's even a conservative dentist, and as far as I know, he has no children. Sigh, I suspect this is largely the result of the A-word (aging). And he didn't even include the ones I thought were suspect. sigh, sigh, sigh.

There is a promo they are airing here which looks hilarious (and i think a bunch of DRs may think so too).

It features our "favorite" randy with bob's fake idol. Would bob really let randy use his fake idol and not tell him???

I thought bob and randy were on the same side.

I would love it if randy thinks he has the real idol and thinks he is going to shock crystal/sugar/mattie.

I mean sugar/mattie know that she is the only one with the idol. So if they find out bob has an idol maybe they will realize it is a fake?

Should be funny hopefully. And please let randy get the boot.

I don't know the exact temp in NYC. But i'm assuming it most be in the 30s. How could you not bring a jacket??? That is insane and you would surely get sick.

I would also not wear shorts. You might not love wearing jogging pants or sweat pants. But you would be crazy not to especially since you hate getting sick.

Just my 2 cents.

When I got in, I immediately put on A COLBERT CHRISTMAS. The 44-minutes were just as nutty and fun as expected. Colbert has a surprisingly rich baritenor singing voice. I think I enjoyed his solos as much as anyone else on the special. Elvis Costello, Toby Keith, Willie Nelson, Jon Stewart, John Legend, and Feist are the guests.

The biggest laugh for me: Colbert offered to roast some chestnuts on his open fire. The problem is his open fire is a digiital fireplace and the nuts just bounced off the screen. Hilarious.
