Well, you've read the notes, the notes were solid, and now it is time for you to post until the solid cows come home.

I just finished my radio interview with Michael Dresser, and now I'm off to bed.

It's rare that I'm ever up this late.

Thanks to all the vibes last night---my dad and his wife really appreciated knowing how many people are out there sending vibes to my "Papasaurus".

I'm off to the hospital again so apologies in advance for bad tying on my itouch.

We will have the test results today and hopefully he can go home this afternoon. He is looking and feeling much better than when he arrived!

My first question for ASK BK day.

Since back in the old days, reel changes messed with the sound....did composers get the film with the exact spot of the reel changes so that they could compose a few seconds of silence at those spots?

It is very yucky here today. There was snow yesterday and freezing rain overnight. Lot of power outages and school closings.

I can help answer as an editor...we try to find spots to break the reel where no music is called for, or there is a clear scene break, or a non-dialogue area where it wouldn't matter if the reel change is off by a second or two.

By the time we break the reels, we usually have an idea of where music is going. Occasionally after spotting for the music cues with the composer, I have changed where the break occurs if the composer wants the music to tail out into the next scene, but very rarely.

Good morning, all! Today I packup some office things and ship them off to Ohio and to California. I'll be stuck there for a while, waiting the arrival of the Fed Ex pickup. After that, I think I'll come back here are wrap a few gifts I need to ship out, work a bit on Mr Loesser's score.

I see that AA Milne has written a book to celebrate DR MBarnum's natal day today. I'm very happy for you, Mikey!

I have little else to report at the moment. I have to call the pharmacy to stock up on meds for the trip and I need to get a ticket, if possible, for tonight's performance of John Musto's new opera at Manhattan School of Music.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday to DR MBarnum !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really thought he was born yesterday

I just got my tickets for my Cabaret series starting in January.

Previously announced Jerry Lanning (Original Patrick in Mame) and Sammy Williams (Bruce Kimmel's Stages & A Chorus Line) are out

They are replaced by two people I have never heard of (which is rare for me)

Valerie Lemmon & Edward Juvier. Anyone out there know of them?

I am sensing a birthday theme here today....and it is SOLID.     :P       ;)

Did any of our august NYC DRs hear the new Stephen Schwartz opera, Séance on a Wet Afternoon?

I figured not, or we'd likely have heard about it here, but I am curious... and have seen no press write-ups or reviews.
